If that's a creditor, not a debt collector, it's probably some small company, perhaps home improvement / construction or some such. Check your state's business names index (usually available on the Secretary of State website, also could be called Corporation Commission, or some such thing as that.)

If you have the name of the municipality the company is located in, call them and see if they've got a business license.
