I am financing a new car and have become behind on my payments. I make just enough money to pay my bills and my car, but not enough for groceries, gas, and other pertintent expenses. Is there any way that I could reduce my monthly payments on the car, seeing as how my credit has already be ruined by a credit card?

Hi, and welcome to the forums!

First off, how are you paying on your car. Are you going through your financial instituion, are you paying through a third party (perhaps the dealerships own financer).

If you're paying through your financial instituion, perhaps you could ask your branch manager to refinance you. However, if you have bad credit and you're going through the dealerships finance program, it could be a little tougher.

Let's see what we can come up with, by first finding out how you're paying.

Also, is the credit card, meaning one, the only item that is showing negative report on your credit file? Is there any way you could start making payments on that (even if smal) to start showing a postiive entry on a deliquent account?

Regards-
Mike

He recived a letter this morning saying that his debt had been sold on and they company who has is wont allow us to make monthly payments anymore. Does anyone know if there is a way around this?
