Hello all my fellow forumers~
I am back! I received a phone call from 888-579-8904 from a Frank Wilson. When I call back, it's just a foreign man that answers and he won't give me any information. I am very knowledgable of Interstate, Jacobi, all them smooks, but I never heard of this one. Any one have any clues??

This phone number 888-579-8904 belongs to Capital Collections. The people there have a very heavy accent.

Capital Collections LLC
P.O. Box 3477
Gulfport, MS 39505

Based on the customer experiences, the BBB has given an unsatisfactory report for the company. Be alert while you are dealing with them.

The phone number (888) 579-8904 belongs to Capital Collections, LLC. They are a Debt Collection agency. I recieved an "Employment Verification Form" by fax seeking personal information of a former employee for a "legal trial". The fax represented them as "Law Offices of Capital Coproation, LLC", and a Rick Evans stated that he is an attorney and would issue a warrant for the debtor he was trying to get information on - an attorney cannot issue a warrant. Per the MS State Bar, Mr. Evans is not a licensed attorney, and I found no evidence that any such law office exists when I contacted the MS State Bar. I believe they are engaging in unfair or illegal debt collection practices and today I reported them to the FBI.

I have received many harrassing emails from this particular person at Capital Collections. They have threatened me with a warrant for my arrest and having me thrown in jail. They call my house daily, and when I have responded to their emails with a cease and desist letter, they say that I should "stop being a smarty and using the fdcpa as a cover" and that "they contact me any way they see fit." I have filed complaints against them with the FTC, the WI Dept. of Financial Institutions and the Better Business Bureau. I would have also filed with the State Attorney General; however, the do not take complaints of this nature and refer you back to the WI Dept. of Financial Institutions. This is an evil company and will try to use intimidation to make you pay....do not let that happen. Educate yourself on the FDCPA and stay firm with them. If enough of us file complaints against them, hopefully they will lose their license as a collection agency.

I would like to see a little anarchy injected into this. Imagine how their attitudes would change if people started calling THEM at home, showed up at their homes or offices? Would scare the crap out of them. Someone will eventually blow up a collections office or two and I'll be that'll change things. Why should we have to deal with collectors. Never met them or agreed to anything with them. I just don't accept their involvement.

this is capitol collections. I took out a payday loan and couldn't make good on payments. Bank account was so overdrawn and everything started bouncing. this company has faxed a nasty letter to the human resources dept. of my job saying i am a "cheap scammer who defrauds companies with funny checks". I have never been so embarressed in my life and I just hope I don't lose my job. They are bottom feeders and very unprofessional. Many words are misspelled and they sent me an email that could have been worded and spelled better by a 1st grader. I am turning over the fax to the District Attorney. They can't treat people like that. There are laws to protect us from such disgusting practices.

:twisted:They are a bunch of lowlife dirtbags!

Use entertainer names to think they are American. I asked one guy who called what country he was calling from and he said South Carollenee.

Morons!

Don't tell them anything and ask them to send it all to you in writing, because you have no idea what they are talking about..

Thanks Friends, Gregory Stead glstead@juno.com 603-229-7212 I am willing to discuss.I trust folks that are awaken at any hour with threats.I think we could get this bunch in serious trouble if we join up and get something done.I am in pain and have issues but not enough to get these people off our backs.
