ICS and North Carolina Law

1) In North Carolina, PDLs are illegal whether they are in state out of state or over the Internet.
2) If the lender is out of the country, they may have laws that are exclusive to them.
I have a loan with ICS and when I took it out, I was told that if I defaulted, then I would be held under London law. Then I find out that ICS is the same company that is also based in DE.
Can someone please set the record straight? I feel like I have paid up more that I need to and I plan to close my account, stop direct deposit so I can get my money back in my hands.

Your first move is to change your bank account so that you can stop the company from debiting your account. Take the help of your bank and file a dispute with the company for all the debits done so far. This way, the company will be needed to clarify if you further need to make any more payments.

well, I can promise you one thing..Whatever you do, ICS will not do much..They have a loud bark but that's about it. They'll leave about a thousand messages on your answering machine and then give up. They got your money. I have talked to others who have also dealt with them and said the same thing I did. It's awful, in order to break even with them, you only have to pay 2 weeks! And then actually, you end up $14 over. I don't even like to think about what I paid those theives.
