After paying over $3500 in interest last year to them, and reporting them to the AGs office, and then they forgave the $1900 they still said I owed them, which Im very happy about,But after all this,I received an email today from GECC ,letting me know, that as a preferred customer,I now quailfy for a new loan.Unbelivable

LOL that is unbelievable. I think someone else here received an email from another company offering them a loan?

I keep getting emails from Paydayok, though they haven't loaned to VA residents for the last year. I'm guessing that the marketing is done via a 3rd party company that doesn't pay attention, just sends emails to people that have previously had loans with the companies.

The loan companies are there to do business and make money. They make a good amount from those who default in the payments. This way, a large amount of interest can be earned other than the principal amount. Do not let them test your temptations. If you are sure, never fall for it.

Try to stop the companies from contacting you further by registering in the ???????do not call???????? list. You can do that at https://www.donotcall.gov/

You can also contact the credit bureau and enable the 'opt out' feature in your file. This will stop all the telemarketing calls and loan proposals coming your way.
