pd lenders threatening to have me arrested

I AM also being contacted by united legal corp. they are threatening to have me arrested, but refuse to send written proof that i owe this money. can they do this? i live in MO. HELP

They can't threaten you with arrest. Send them a debt vaidation

They can't threaten you with arrest. Send them a debt vaidation letter certified mail with return receipt. They are violating the fdcpa laws that were put in place to protect the debtor from collection agencies that choose to break the laws.

Did they give you an address that they could be reached at? As Tammy wrote, they can't arrest you for not making payments, and they have to give you proof in writing of the debt and how that amount was figured.
