Got a call from them, they added an extra $150 to my loan...
T&C said an extra $60 a month is what they want from me, and they will accept the proposals.
I told united to send me a validation of debt and I want to see where they are coming up with this.
T&C says if they are a legal firm they will add additional costs. I don't believe that they are.
Here we go folks....I'm not putting up with this "additional fees" crap. Not today!

Hi erzeke1

Go ahead! You must get the debt validation details from the collection agency. Besides, any further charges can be added on the principal amount if it is permissible as per the state laws and the CA is licensed in your state. It must also be stated in the agreement contract you signed with the original credit company.

Get the complete details of this account before any payment is sent to them. You will be sure that the money is going to the right place. You can request T&C also to get it in writing from them.

I was overdrawn when they tried to collect from me yesterday - should I deposit the money and let them withdraw from it or send them a money order - I really don't want to send them a check because I don't want anyone with my checking account number except for my regular credit card holders.

Yes I did - I was just going to deposit money on a two week period just the amount that I needed for them ony - I don't use that account for anything else - I actually gave them the dates they were suppose to debit the account and the amounts - 5 payments total - so far they have not done anything shady so that is why I was not afraid of it - they are waiting for me to call them back now to tell them what to do and when to go back to the account - they went on the day I told them not before -they had my information a month ago - and they went on the 30th as promised - the next one is June 9th - I picked the dates!

Its funny how paychecktoday was cooperative with others but they were RUDE towards me. I called them before the due date to inform of account being closed and would like to arrange a payment plan. They were not very cooperative and threatened to turn me over to United Legal Corp. Maybe that lady had a off day?

Thanks Vikas :)

Erzeke,

Has the loan been placed with a collection agency, United Legal Corp? I believe they are based out of Florida and they can be very rude. I would check to see if they are licensed in your state to collect money. Also, send them a debt validation request per the fdcpa laws. They must validate the debt before collection activity can presume on the account. Have you received any type of letter from the CA?

I don't believe they are with united legal anymore. My statement from T&C says the money I send is going to paycheck today.
Although, when I spoke with united legal, I asked for a letter of validation and they said they would send one, but that was about 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything since...
They are not licensed, nor are any of the other 2. When I have paid for the principal on these loans I will then start sending letters out to them.
