Well, after my latest incident with my GM Card, I decided I will fix them good. I enrolled in the debt managment program sponsored by my credit union called Balancepro. I am working with CCCS out of San Fransisco. My bank paid for the entire session for the counseling. Other programs were making my payments around $225/mo which is the same I am paying now with current interest rates and finance charges.

Balancepro was able to get my payments down to a total of $160/month. I am actually going to have money to save at the end of the month!!! I am very excited, and the program starts immediately. Payments start at the end of this month! I should be debt free in 4 years or less, they say. I figured, with some extra money over the summer, I should be able to paydown a lot of balances.

Just thought I would sahre the good news with you all!

Hi Zachman

I am so happy to hear about this program working for you. I am sure you will be able to come out of this debt cycle within the fixed time period. Maybe, if you have extra cash some time later, you can pay towards the accounts to come out sooner of it. Please make sure not to increase your expenses while being in the program. This program will work the best when you are making timely payments. Don't spend more or else you will have shortage in making the consolidation payments.

Thank you all. And yes, it's amazing how your debt can change your attitude. It is honestly a burden upon my shoulders. Now, I feel that burden lifted because I made a good move to get this taken care of.

I can't wait to actually start saving money and put it towards something good in the end, like paying more towards my debt.

Thanks for the support everyone!!

I asked about having a revokable wage assignment in a pay day loan - payday2go has that in their agreement so they were able to garnish my pay check %20 percent for 5 pay checks -
