I have been harrassed by a company that would NOT give the name of the company or send me anything in writing. The number was 1-866-201-4603. The second number was 1-904-483-5040. The only name of the company name she would say is "pre-litigation". I have 5 pdls that all went to collection. The highest loan amount was 300.00. Long story short this company wanted me to pay & 3,140 western union! So after doing some researching I came accross the BBB in mountain states. I typed in the 1-866 number and to my delight they have several complaints against this company. I filed the complaint on friday and when I checked then they had 16 complaints. Today they have 18!!! I thought I read that this company was some way tied to Ellis Crosby and Assoc? I also filed a complaint with the FTC as well. i just wanted to share that it felt good that I did something and funny thing is I havent recieved a call since last tuesday.... :P Anyone else dealt with this company?

Loads of information is there in this forum about the illegal activities of Ellis Crosby. You did the right thing by checking out the company before sending any money. I am pretty sure that IWCB was attempting illegal collections without any of your account information. Under the federal laws, the CA is required to send the account details in writing before you make a payment. When they call you next time, ask for their mailing address so that you can send them a debt validation request. Do not make any payment agreement until you have reviewed your accounts with them.

Talk to the payday loan company and see if you can possibly work out payment arrangements with them. Do all your communication in writing through certified mail with return receipt requested. Have everything documented in a file for your own records.
