Tried searching, I'm assuming debt collector, anybody know who they are?

Be careful when you are dealing with NCO. They have been the worst collection agency around and have lots of complaints against them. They were heavily penalized for their illegal activities sometime back. Don't throw a dime on them.

If they are calling you up for one of your past debt accounts, ask them to validate the debt in writing. Under the federal laws, the company must put all the details of the accounts in writing. The creditor should be clearly identified for which they are collecting along with calculation of all the interest charges and fees. Do all your correspondences in writing through certified mail with return receipt requested. Have everything documented in a file for records.
