Hi help03
Inquire from the original creditor if they have updated your file with the credit bureaus. Once the accounts charged off accounts are fully paid, they will appear as 'paid charged off' in the file. The creditor has to send this info to the bureau. Call your credit company and know the latest update about this account.

It can take 30 days or so for it to be reflected in your report. Be patient, and it will happen, trust me.

cann anyone tell me how i can clear my credit up and pay my bills off in one low payment a month?
A consolidation program will combine all your bills in one month
A consolidation program will combine all your bills in one monthly payment at lower interest rates. Besides, most of the financial charges and late fees can also be waived off. Once you start paying off all the accounts, your credit scores will improve in quick successions.
Besides, credit reports are often filled with large number of incorrect entries that lower the scores. Make sure that you have removed the wrong info from your file.
You can learn some more ways of fixing up your credit. Have a look at the thread below:

odd question...
though we have several open accounts, which i am trying to close, we only have maybe 2 late payments listed on our reports. we are listed with equifax with excellent credit. we have only one credit card to pay off. we own our cars and at this moment don't even hacve a house payment. we live on a small income but we pay our bills on time. when i was trying to transferr our one credit card to a 0% card so i could pay it off easier, i was denied!!! any ideas, other than cosing the open accounts?

Sometimes closing good accounts can do more harm than good. If they're paid off in good standing, it's usually recommended that you keep them open.
Pull all three credit reports and make sure nothing is off there...You'd be surprised what wrong information can be reported.

Jessi is right - it is a better idea to keep them open with a zero balance. The longer they are open, the more age they get, which will most definitely improve your FICO score (I can tell you this from personal experience). If they are credit cards, it is a good idea to pay them to a zero balance, throw them in the sockdrawer, and use them every 6 months to buy a can of soda or something so that you don't get an inactivity fee (some companies will do that).
