Hi
Some lenders are hard to deal with while there are few others who sound co-operative at times. In any case, you are showing your responsibility to pay the debt even after going through hard times. Explain your financial situation to the lenders clearly and offer them realistic payment plan. It will be better to offer an advance and make your deal stronger.
Make sure that you do your correspondences with the company in writing. You can keep a follow up over the phone. Send your letters through certified mail with return receipt requested. Keep everything documented in a file for records. Before they decide to garnish your wages, they need to file a case in the court first. You will be asked to appear in the court and explain your situation. Your payment efforts will prove that you were willing to pay the account. This will allow the judge to rule in your favor.

I have been on the phone with them all morning which resulted in absolutely nothing. The account that I have and have given to them, is not a regular banking account and ACH Debits can't be taken from it. They say that Western Union will work, but only the full amount. All in all, he said that there isn't anything more to discuss and that my papers were being filed today with the court system. I forwarned my employer that there would be garnishment papers coming there way. I just can't believe that there wasn't any other way to take care of the problem.

I think you can still recoup from the present situation. If the lender is insisting western union, send the amount you can afford. If they accept it, you are in safe side. If they don't, the receipts will prove that you made an effort.
Wages cannot be garnished with court orders. The judge will review your case before issuing the order. Hopefully, your attempt to pay the account will be given the priority.

I can't make a payment until Monday, but I am still going to go ahead and do it. How can we all go to court when they are in a different state than me? I am not sure to how that whole thing works?

Canada Consumer~
What is this phone number? I just have a 877 number to get in touch with them. There really isn't any more that they will talk with me about seeing that it's "out of their hands" now and in the court system. I just don't know what to do?
