One more thing, I printed out some information on citations to payday and small loan laws by jurisdiction.
Can someone answer me this: Minnesota Maximum Loan Amounts and fees are listed as:
6%(min, $17.50 +$5: $251-$350(after default:2.75% per month and Small Loan or Criminal law Max interest rate and fees on $200 loan is 33%. Unless ortherwise indicated, the rate shown is the maximum effective interest rate.
Can someone explain how this will work with my $300 PDL that I took out with QuickPay and have already paid that amount plus $347.50 more. Shouldn't it have been paid in full according to the information above.
Chrisina- I really can't afford an attorney and am hoping with the above information that is all I need.
Yes, they are threatening calls and emails because I filed a complaint with the BBB in Pennsylvania so now they are really mad.

I hope someone can advise me if I should sign this document I just received from QuickPay LLC. It states that I have closed my checking account from them for debiting and my intentions is not to pay the past due amount of $480. I have filed a complaint with the Delaware BBB and it in QuickPay agreed to drop the amount to $270. In the meantime, I just received a release form stating the my account will be marked "Paid in Full" as of 10/31/2006 and all business with them will be terminated. It also stated that I can not take any further action with filing a complaint with the Attorney Generals office of any state or any other agency or any other derogatory action against their company. Any outside collection agencies and litigation processing will not precede and this account will be closed.
However, my question is: They do not make any statement that they will have a deragotory remark on my credit report. Should I ask for that and do you think that will be automatic? There is nothing on my report as of today.
Don't sign anything especially when it comes to dealing with PDL
Don't sign anything especially when it comes to dealing with PDL companies after the fact, thats just my personal opinion
