Hi, I owed almost $4,000 in credit cards and $9,000 car loan, can I consolidate this debts, and how does it work?

From what I understand, you can't consolidate secured debts, such as a car loan, mortgage, etc. However, you can surely consolidate those credit cards!! Feel free to use this website to contact a counselor who will refer you to a debt consolidation company who will work for you. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask here, and keep us informed of your progress!!

Hi jodyhome

A counselor will call you back and discuss about the accounts you wish to consolidate. You can combine all the bills into one monthly pay off and set up a payment plan. The consultant will send your payments to the creditors and your accounts will get paid in the program.

I'm returning to school full time, i was wondering if there was any special loans for students who want to consolidate their debt. I have under $8,000 in credit card debt, just wondering what my options are
