I too received a message today from 571-283-6434. You say this is a telemarketing outfit?
The caller named herself "Jennifer," and she told me that I have been approved to consolidate my credit card -- so I should be sure to have my statements handy when I call her back.
Problem is -- I don't have any credit cards, and haven't for 10-11 years. Why would she be wasting her time on me?
The number she gave to call back was 800-735-6473. I can't figure out who these folks are...
Thanks for any input you may have. :-D -David

Ann Marie--Just got a call from those lousy telemarketers @ 571-283-6434. I disagree that I should have to call them and request to be put on their "Do Not Call" list when I have aleady done so through my state's "Do Not Call" Registry.
I can understand that these pond-scum-sucking-dogs need to work. However, I don't understand the reason they aren't given the "Do Not Call" list, unless their company makes so much money that it can just afford to scoff at the fines.

800 number...
I likewise am getting MULTIPLE calls a day from 1-800-838-5804... Considering I am pregnant, at home on bedrest... it's getting to be annoying rather quickly... They call 4-5xs per day, starting at about 730am in the morning, ending about 830pm at night...
They hang up when I answer, and no one answers when I call back... This is getting OLD!

I got one of those and programmed it to answer and say "Press 5 to continue". It stops all telemarketers and fax calls. My friends and family and anybody who can press 5 still gets thru to me.
