I just received a call this evening regarding one of my credit card accounts (HSBC)and they said they have not received a proposal from T&C regarding my account. Some of my other creditors and PDLs have already received the proposals and accepted. Does it seem unusual that HSBC would not have received theirs? Or is this a collection tactic? I did email T&C and asked them to call HSBC, but I just thought it was strange that said they hadn't received anything. Has anyone else had this experience with T&C or creditors?

Well, thank you both very much. I did call T&C this morning and they had sent something to HSBC and said this was a collection tactic. HSBC tried to get me to send a payment to them anyway and I said No, I can't. Hasta la vista BABY!!! (I didn't actually say Hasta La Vista Baby, but I wanted to.

I had one of their 'bad credit' Credit Cards. I had to miss a few payments. I e-mailed and called. FINALLY they got back to me, via email. they said if I could "make a $100.00 payment now and a $100.00 payment on the 15th, of May, that my 'status' would be up to date. Gosh...I never realized late fees, missed payments, etc..could be SOO high! I tried to explain to them my 'situation'. It was like talking to a wall. I'm STILL trying to work something out with them.

I was furious to receive an actual credit card bill from them for $70, despite the fact that I never authorized a credit card account from them, never received a credit card, and never charged anything.

I phoned them TWICE to tell them to take me off of that account, and they said they did, but I still received a bill today (for $0) but they are still sending me the statements when I DON'T WANT THEM!! How could this happen?? What crooks!

I thought I posted this message but it didn't appear, so hear it is again.

I received a statement in the mail from these crooks for $70,despite the fact I had never signed up for their credit card, never even RECEIVED a credit card, and never charged anything. I am furious.

I phoned them and told them to remove me immediately and they said they would. But I still received a second statement with the same charge, so I phoned them AGAIN and they said they removed the charge.

Today I received another statement ($0) but the fact that I am still getting statements from them is burning me up  as I do not want their credit card. What do I do??

The statements you are getting...are they STATING your Bill is $0, or are they stating your 'available credit' is $0? If THEY are saying you don't have an account from them, any longer, you shouldn't be receiving ANYTHING from them. NEVER signed up for the card, either?! WOW..I'm not really sure what to say on 'that one'. I'm sure someone will answer your thread, who has knowledge on this.

Oh..yea..haven't thought about THAT one. It's 'amazing' how people can get information on OTHER people, of course, if this IS the case.

You should call and ask for their fraud department. Explain that you never signed a credit application and never authorized the account to be opened.

I would also put that much in writing and mail it to them certified, return receipt requested. Don't mail it to the same place they show for payment - their "address for correpondence" will be somewhere on the statement.
