I am feeling unsure. Any opinions are appreciated

First of all. Don't let one bad apple spoil your opinion with T&C. Just remember, the online pdls are not going to have you thrown in jail. Let them know that you know the laws in your state regarding the payday loans. If the pdls start calling, don't let them get an inkling that you are scared because they thrive on that. Stay strong and keep cool. If they do start calling, let T&C know and ask to speak to Jessica or Jennifer. These are the two I deal with and they are great and they don;t take no crap off of the creditors.

1st take a deep berath and relax! :wink: Most of us on this forum have been or are there. You are not alone! Second I think maybe "sheree" was having a bad day. After everything I've ever heard about T&C, I've never heard about rudeness. I'm sure if you speak with her again she'll probably apologize. 3rd if your with T&C your on the right track! You do have to stay on top of what the payday loan companies and potenially collections agencies send you and how they contact you. If they contact you by phone simply refer them to T&C and let T&C do their job. If they send you any written correspondence, fax it to T&C and request a conformation page on the fax. Just so you have copies of everything and to give you a little piece of mind. We're here for you! PM me if you want to talk. :wink:

I agree dont let the lady you just spoke with ruin it. Everytime that i have called t&c they are always pleasant and very helpful.

Please don't let one bad apple at T&C ruin it for you. I've never talked to Sheree because like Tammy I only talk to Jessica. I have talked to Jennifer and she is very nice but Jessica only has me talk to her because she knows what's going on with my account. Don't be embarrassed, we've all been there!!

I agree--don't let one person spoil your opinion. We never know what happens just before they answer the phone. Granted they are answering a business phone and should conduct themselves accordingly but everyone has an off day.

I will give you a funny example of how someone should not answer the phone. It happened to me and it was just LAST NIGHT.

I had been having an argument with my adult daughter over the phone and was so mad at her, I hung up on her (I know not real mature) and was seething. She is really good at calling me back when I am mad and tries to make amends or continue the argument. Anyway, the phone immediately rings and it is a creditor---I answer and say very loud and angry HELLO!---no response---HELLO, WHO IS THIS (using my same bad atttiude voice)---they ask for me and I am so embarrassed that I am yelling into the phone I say SHE's NOT HERE. They ask is there a spouse and without thinking and still yelling I say
"NO--HE'S DEAD" Now let me clarify something I have never been married! They said in a small voice "we will call again, goodbye"

I found myself appalled that I had acted that way and cracking up cause I said my NON-EXISTENT husband was dead. Now I don't recommend this as a way to ward off creditors, I just wanted to show you how I personally let something that had just happened affect the way I answered my phone.

I got a kick out of that story. I have been guilty of the same thing... Once my husband and I was fighting and he was drunk and wanting to get out the door with his keys in his hand and the phone rand and since it was clipped to me (I answered it)

I realized whom it was and quickly told them..."Look my husband is drunk and trying to take off in his vehicle and were fighting over the KEYS, SO GOODBYE!" and they were gabbering on the phone, but I hung it up.

Needless to say, I lost the fight over the keys...but collectors never called back.


I agree....don't let a worm in the apple ruin your basket you got going on. If it bothers you that much, call them and tell them about it. I am sure they will apologize for your bad experience and assure you that all is fine with them.

My debt manager says that she was in the same position I was in and bankrupted. She heard of the debt settlement company and vowed to go to work for them to help others with means that she did not have available to her. She is really nice.

I sure hope that when or if she leaves, that someone will take over my files. Surely someone takes over when an employee leaves.

I am registered. Sometimes I just pop in and reply and forget to log in and it logs me under guest.

I am sure everyone gets called at bad times by collectors, but here recently I am headed out the door to my best friends funeral (she took her own life) and the phone rings, I thought it was an ER situation, so I grab it.

I found out who it was wfnnb bank and I proceeded to turn loose on them. I was like: "I am going to MY BEST FRIENDS FUNERAL AND I WOULD APPRECIATE you stop calling my house period. I am enrolled in CNI's program and do you know what it is like to be so depressed you take your own life???" They were VERY apologetic to me and hung up...however the niceness wore off the next day.

I'm sorry---I would have recognized your screen name. I usually try and maintain a certain degree of politeness (even though I might be GRITTING my teeth) when I talk to creditors and the like. But yesterday they caught me at the WRONG time. Yea, I got them running scared (ha, ha, ha------) :x I trying to sound sarcastic when I write but its not WORKING!!!

I just want to add, I have never had anyone rude from T&C, but I do think JESSICA needs a BIG raise. She is wonderful. Maybe from these forums, because we are all so awesome here...they have been so busy.....maybe they have had to hire some new people that don't know what they are doing. I am just trying to think positive which I don't do too much lately w/ these financial problems I have.

Can you ask for Jessica I wonder????? She is probably swamped!!!!! :lol:

I have to agree that Jessica is by far the most helpful, wonderful person to deal with at T&C. She is always nice and supportive. I wonder if there is anyway we could all right to the owner of T&C and recommend her for a raise or Employee of the Year or something like that.

When you call T&C, you can request Jessica. Thats what I do when I call, I ask for Jennifer or Jessica. They are both awesome people and they work hard to get the job done, no matter how long it takes them to do it.

I am going to have to file chapter 13(this is a last result) because I started getting guarnished on my check this past week. I currently have three companies waiting in line to do the same thing. This past week was the first week that I defaulted on the payday loans. I got a pretty serious injury at work and the money I am getting just isn't enough to cover my bills. The attorney I talked to said he could help me but I would need the names and addresses of the pdl companies. Thankyou in advance for any help you can give me.

I am sorry to hear about your present situation. Consider other options also before filing bankruptcy. Try out for consolidation or settlement programs. If you find it difficult to pay the amount set in the program, you can think towards filing bankruptcy.

If I remember correctly when I called T&C last I did speak to Jessica and that was my immediate impression---what great people/telephone skills she had. I was at ease right away and she answered all of my questions accurately. I wasn't left wondering what she was talking about.
