Has anyone ever dealt with this firm? I contacted them via an online loan application and got a positive response for a $30,000 loan. The lender is requiring a $2,200 payment for the purpose of securing a credit life ins policy to guarantee the loan. The whole thing makes me a bit nervous to send the funds for this policy. I'd hate to lose $2,200 to a scam when I'm trying to gain ground on a credit card debt.!
Any help would be appreciated

Hi vetteman

You are thinking the right way. Loan companies should not ask for any upfront fees before sending the total amount. It should not be even in the form of any life insurance policy also. You have your options if you wish to do business with them further but it should not be at the risk of sending money from your side first.

Look at some of the threads in the Getting a loan section in this forum. There are companies who have scammed people on such note and never deposited the money.
