Friends Debt

Hello. I have a friend who is in about 4-5 thousand dollars of debt and trying to pay her way through college. I would like to help her what can I do or What can I suggest she do? Thanks

I like your spirit of helping your friend! What type of debt she has? Is it secured debt or unsecured debt? If she is employed, a proper repayment plan can help her become debt free shortly. Ask her to have one credit counseling. This site offers free counseling to the registered members. Why don't you invite her to this board and introduce to all of us? It will be fun :D

Hi, I am the one who posted the original message about my friend. She works for PSU when we are at college and for a small amusement park in the summer. IM not really sure about what type of debt it is because I havent really discussed that wiht her in detail. As for inviting her to the board, I would do so but she does not have the internet at home because of her family but she is working on getting it. If she does get it I will definately invite her. Thank you so much for your posts because I know she has a hard time dealing with supporting her self and she has a rough home life and it hurts me when she struggles. I talk to her everyday and I can tell its a big burden. Thanks Again :D

By gathering here, we learn from others experiences and advice so that someone in need can utilize it. We all will appreciate you and your friend's stay here.

I will insist you to forward a free counseling for your friend. You can do a free registration here by putting her name and phone number in the sign up page. A consultant will get back to her and discuss about the accounts. Tell your friend after you have signed her up for this free counseling. She will be present to discuss her accounts with the consultant over the phone.
