I'm currently in about $10,000 creditcard and cell phone bills and $4000 in personal loan thru different people..What should I do?? Get a one time Paydayloan to pay off the personal loan.. then put all the bills by debt consolidation??
Please give me advices, this is my first time going thru this debt problem.. help...

Hello,

If you have $10K in credit card/cell phone bills, I'd consolidate that portion. Last thing I'd do is get a payday loan because they will rip you off even more...they charge a ridiculous fee and thei program is totally wack. Definitely look into consolidation and as a last resort, you can try the debt settlement thing although I don't highly recommend it.

Tammy, PLEASE do NOT get a PDL...It will put you even farther in the hole.

Talk to a counselor about debt consolidation, and that will help you to PAY things OFF instead of getting farther in debt.

A lot of us are in this mess because of PDLs, so we're speaking from experience here. Don't do it, please!

Hello Tammy,
Getting a payday loan will put you in a deep hole later on. For instance, if you were to borrow $4000 in payday loans, I'd say the fees for combined will be at minimum $600 because companies charge you about 15% of the loan and sometimes a LOT more...I think it's typically around 15% under laws but they always overcharge (around 30%). My suggestion is don't get a payday loan because you have seen the horror stories on this forum. You should ask your personal loan people how soon you would have to pay them off and budget your finances rather than give payday loan companies more money they don't deserve. I would stay away from Payday loans as much as possible for your own good...although they give you money up front, they will take so much more back from you.

Hello Tammy, what's this Service fee they are talking about? is this a fee you need to pay to obtain the loan? because if it is, DO NOT do it. If you have to pay to get a loan, it is more likely a scam. There were some posts on this earlier this month about loan companies saying there's an upfront fee to get the loan but if you think about, wouldn't you be getting a loan because you don't have money? These companies think they are so smart in what they are doing but when you look from hindsight they are idiots. Don't take any loan that charges you a fee to get the loan...T&C is the better option to go.
