Geneva Roth is coming to me 2 yrs later, demanding payment within 2 hrs, claiming that I used my company's IP address to embezzle funds. The agent that I spoke with, Trenton Bradley has said that he is not a debt collector, but rather the head of Fraud Divison, and that he will be forwarding all documents to my company's CEO. Can he do this? Please help!

Thanks for the info..
I did some research and discovered that in my state of California, you can not be criminally prosecuted for defaulting on a PDL. So if they try this crap with me, I am going to laugh in their faces!
I also discovered that the most they can charge for rollover fees is 15 percent of the original loan value, which would be $45 for a $300 loan. I wonder why they get away with charging double that in fees? And since I did sign off on that with them (like an idiot), I am still liable for it?
I am adding GR-Ventures to my credit counseling plan to get them paid off ASAP--but I am not paying them anymore than what I owe.

As mentioned, Geneva Roth along with Trent Bradley have been reported and are being investigated by several Federal Agencies for harrassments, fraudulant calls, threats which have been recorded.
We were informed that although threats have been made and the famouse line from Trent Bradly is" Embelezment, do you have an attorney, have you ever been prosecuted, are fake words they use to give the impresseion to the caller thaty they are from a legal department, this is truely FALSE. Most likely there is a written script and they practice false tactics to use on people.
If you are wondering why you have paid "Large Extension Fees" such as $60 to $90, more than a walk-in Physical PayDay Loan office, is "because someone is making extra money off of you".
We have been informed that they never send any proof to the victims, rejected pay arrangement without the extension fees (which seem illegal), etc.
Unless, they send you a list or in writing of a breakdown on what you owe...then take action to pay back. Otherwise, they are known to fail such a simple request for proof of what is owed.
Record all conversations since they record you as this Trent Bradley states.
Don't ever do on-line loans. It is safer and legitimate, alot easier to pay back the Physical, walk-in PayDayLoan offices.

The better thing to say is Don't ever do pay day loans. The head ache your trying to avoid probably isn't as bad as the head ache you'll get yourself into with PDLs.

Thanks for the additional info--and I'm not surprised to discover that they are indeed reading from a script. When I got a call from Mr. Watkins at GRV, I didn't hear the E word, but he did ask me if I had an attorney.
My letter has gone out to them, but all I plan on paying them back is the original loan amount ($300) plus their $90 fee, since I was stupid enough to agree to it. I guess this is what I get for being dumb...but NEVER AGAIN!!

I agree, just avoid all pay-day loans. Right now, paying the $300 is reasonable and you by law can pay half (example $150 twice to sum up $300) this is of course withought the Man-made-Geneva Roth extension fee of $90. Remember, this is more than what a credit card charges and someone is making a cut on your extension fee and bringing it home as a so-called commission or bonus.
They are very popular to "not return your phone call" when you want the extension to stop and you want to pay it off. Beware when you first sign a sloppy document they created to have $90 deducted from your checking and this will be way more than the original loan you borrowed. So stop their insanity by putting a stop payment at your bank and then go half $150 2x to pay back only the $300.
We have never seen such a company with more than one address, their bazarre.
Another tip: Beware when Geneva Roth sells your account to another PayDayLoan collector. You can be dealing with a new Collector that are nice and say that GenevaRoth handed them your account. You comply fully, pay in full but the nightmare begins again with GenevaRoth. They will call you back 6 months to 1 year later saying that the Collector or other PayDayLoan dosn't have your account and GenevaRoth tries to threaten you saying you still owe $300, when in reality you had paid the other company who took over. It is known to be a SCAM and they are good at this. Don't pay anymore and don't pay "twice."
Don't let the false words get you when they call and ask "If you have an attorney", "Have you ever been prosecuted?", "You are embezelling money", It reality Geneva Roth maybe known to be committing these crimes themselves by embezzelment.

Record all your calls, write the date and time down. Inform your workplace of harrassment and start to seriously put together a lawsuit. As mentioned record all calls, it is easier to trace them down.

Let's see, I am looking for a word for IPayMyBills........hmmmmmmm........what is it????????? Oh yeah, I just remembered....JERK! Why don't you get off these people's backs. How do you know that they do not already work 2 or 3 jobs. For that matter, ho does anyone here know that YOU pay your bills on time and are never late and that you never complain about some monetary action you are involved in? I would highly suggest a little time in church On Sunday for you, and pay close attention to the part "Let those who have not sinned cast the first stone".........

My advice, everyone here totally ignore him. The guy probably has a credit score of less than 400 and is just pissed off because he is a loser at everything he does!

You are not helping people here and you are rude. You have no right to judge anyone. Also you need to be aware there are laws in every state that govern the behavior of even the original party collector. Your ignorance is showing through. Threats and harrassment are illegal in all states even if they are allegedly buy a first party collector.
