Pentagroup Financial address
Hi dcashwell3

I've just dealt with Pentagroup Financial. i had a payday loan and it was sent off to collections, i tried to contact the orignial creditor but their phone was disconnected (weird huh) Anyway, the guy was really nice and sent a letter stating the amount i owed, original creditor and all their contact info. within 5 days after contacting me by phone.
i've dealt with some ugly collection agencies (ellis crosby, united legal) and this was the most professional experience I had.
I paid the debt, recieved a letter from Pentagroup Financial thanking me for my cooperation and all is well now.

Pentagroup Financial calling
I've been getting calls from an extremely pushy person named Marilyn Wade phone number 866-479-1464. I called the phone number back and I can't fully understand the voice recording but it sounds like PentaGroup Financial. I'm guessing it is a bogus person that is looking for info for identity theft since I am quite positive I don't have any outstanding debt that I'm not up to date with.
i hate Pentagroup Financial
i got sent to penta group afther not paying a cingular bill. so 3 months later i pay them . that was in january now its sept. and the negative score is still in my fico score.
PentaGroup Financial and Nextell Sprint
I received a strange call about an account with nextell/sprint that is too long for an account with the wrong address and city and state. How did they get your phone number? How did the others resolve this? Do I need to get an attorney?
Confused and angry on Pentagroup Financial.

I just got the call last night from Pentagroup Financial. It is an old account from last February that now they want us to pay $6000.00 + interest.. I told them that we were told it would be settled for much less previously she disagreed.. I am researching but, they seem pretty high pressure..
CHECK THE INFO FIRST Pentagroup Financial
TO whom it may concern, I was recentaly contacted about a past due debt that ( you thought I owed), It turns out that it was not me at all but another person with the same name, and I guessing they live in the same state as me. I not really sure how you got my home phone, but it makes me wounder who is sleeping on the job.
PentaGroup Financial, LLC
These people, group, collector, whom ever they are somehow got a hold of my neighbors phone number and has been leaving messages on their machines for two days now. I'm not sure how they got that phone number but it is extremely irritating as well as frustrating. I did call back to find out who is calling and leaving messages there. They began by asking for information from me and of course concerned about I.D. theft I felt the need to ask them questions as well. They did not answer them and then began to question my intergity on top of it all and at one point they hung up on me. So I filed a complaint with the FTC, called them back and asked them not to call my neighbors. I am getting ready to write them a letter as well. Thanks to whom ever listed the FTC complaint form and info as well as PentaGroup's address. That was extremely helpful.
Very Upset
I received a call at 7am from a 800 #. I called the number back about 20 minutes later and a disgruntle male from the Pentagroup financial answered. The first thing I asked was who this company was and why they were calling me. He aksed to speak to someone whose name I still do not recognize. I told him my name and asked that my phone # be removed from their database
( especially since this was my private cell phone). I next asked to speak with a supervisor because I for one wanted to make sure that my number was removed and I also wanted to report the fact that someone called me before 8am which means that they were breaking the law. This male told me that I couldn't speak to a supervisor and after asking a few more times he told me that I couldn't speak to a supervisor because he was the supervisor and there was no one above him.....So I too agree that the penta group is kind of out of line.

:?: I just spoke with a very hard to deal with and insulting representative Tom Laska out of the New York branch (Some where near Orchard Park/ElmsFord) who refused after repeated requests to give me the address so that I can start mailing repayments. I contacted Collect America who says this is one of their Attorney firms handling collection but they also denied having an address for the company. The home base is out ot Houston Tx so you may have some luck dealing with them.

:?: I've gotten a few calls from Pentagroup, but only answered the phone once. I requested that a statement be mailed to my home address (which I'm yet to get). The debt that they are trying to collect is marked as "charged off as bad debt" by the original debtor.
After reviewing previous postings, I don't think I'll be dealing with them over the phone!
Shady!
We recently moved... 3 weeks ago. Well they contacted my neighbor looking for us. Told them they knew the state we moved to and tried to get my number. I called 3 times before I finally got the Linda that was calling me voice mail. Im pretty sure they cannot call anyone and tell them why there are calling unless they have authorization from me. Worse, I dont even know what it is I specifically owe for them to be calling me. :x

I received a call from Penta about an old debt with MBNA. The agent was actually personable and seemed fair. She said I could pay off @ about 25% of the debt that had been written off two years ago (granted, about 50% of the total was their punitive interest charges). She advised me that Penta was about to go to court to garnish my wages, but I told her the student loans people beat her to it -- I am already at max garnishment. :( In any case, I AM trying to dig my way out so I accepted the offer to pay this debt off per week. I hope I wasn't a fool to commit, but I sure want out of debt.

I received an automated call this evening from the Penta Group Financial. First of all, not the way to contact, as far as I am concerned. (I have never received one of these, and immediately alarm bells were ringing in my mind. Second, I was the first to ask questions, which were answered in a manner that any conman could easily replicate (I concluded): did not offer first name, no supervisor, etc. That's alarming to me. Anyway, he ultimately asked to verify if I lived at an address on the bill he was collecting for, and the last 4 digits of my social, and said the calls would not stop until I verified the person in question was not me. I did not provide any information, stuck to my instincts, and in the end got HIM to reveal the 4 digits he said were "in front of him." I was able to politely say the numbers were not mine. He thanked me and concluded the call.

If you continue to receive calls and you are not the person in question, simply send them a written request to cease communications with you and they will be forced to comply (under pain of $1,000 per call after received)
What I know about Penta Group Financial
I took over my grandmothers phone number upon her death about 3 years ago to keep the number for the convienience of friends and family. My brother had lived with my grandmother a number of years. He apparently owes money to someone, so Penta Group is constantly calling my home or leaving me messages. My brother is kinda like a Gypsy. He travels around. I did give him Penta Groups number but he has not resolved the issue. I've told Penta Group agents that he does not live with me and that they should not call my home. They consistently say they'll stop calling and they keep on calling. I plan to file harrassment charges against them this Friday. I am 44, my brother is 43. He is responsible for his bills, not me. As far as I'm concerned Penta Group is rude, inconsiderate, and they expect others to do their work for them. I have my own problems and don't need theirs. If you are looking for a debt collector you may want to go with them because they will harass anyone with contact to the person who has the debt, whether it's legal or not. Thats my opinion about Penta Group Financial.
Yeah PEntagroup is crazy
I had an account with Chase that i didn't pay on so they sent it to PentaGroup. For a while they were really nice and professional, then one day out of the blue one of their managers calls me and says that my check bounced (I called them and told them my purse was stolen and gave them my new acct #, but apparently they didnt record it and tried to use the old one). Anyway, this guy tells me that I have 3 days to pay the rest of my balance of 1300 or else the lawyers were gonna prosecute. So I start freaking out and crying and he gives me until the end of the mnth to do it or else they were gonna file and make me pay back interest, legal fees etc to over $3500. I was due to get my tax refund, so I paid it yesterday, hopefully they;; report it as paid as agreedto the credit places.

Out of the blue, I was sent a letter from Pentagroup that they would settle for a lower amount then actually owed to Nextel Company. I called before hand and talked to a Rep. who was nice, and they had all the information concerning the past due balance. Told him I would send in payment and he then told me I would get a statement in the mail about 7-10 business days stating it was paid for. It has been more than a month. I called back and a Rep. stated they do everything at the end of the month (so why wasnt it sent at that end of that month), reminded Rep. it was sent a month ago. Then talked to a second Rep. and she stated that "it was actually sent out today". Stressed, I hope it is a legitimate company..I will be calling almost everyday until I get a statement...or I will be at their physical address until I am satisfied.
Phone calls
I keep receiving calls from Penta Group Financial LLC. I am away from home, working so a message is left on my voice mail. I have yet to be able to get anyone to answer at this
number. I am afraid that some legal action will be taken without my having a conversation with this agency. It could
be a student loan but I cannot get any information.
Not a good way to do business, as far as I am concern.

I am currently dealing with them the bill they are saying is in collections is from three years ago...they will not accept half of it they want it all in full and cannot prove that the bill is still outstanding. I know for a fact its not it doesnt show up on my credit report. so my opinion of them is they suck and dont kow what they are doing. they are incompetent if you request that they stop calling you and they dont they can be prosecuted if you have anymore questions you may contact me at sunfish22_05@yahoo.com HAVE a NICE day.

They have been bugging me for about a year. I had a debt that my husband paid off for me in 2003. It was a settlement letter and the rest of the $400+ was charged off and the company said I didn't need to pay the rest. A couple places have called me about the remaining balance that the original company charged off and did the settlement, but the last collection agency found that it had been paid and someone had added extra #'s to the original acct # to make it look like 2 accounts!!!!! They told me everything was fine and I'd never be contacted again about it. Apparently, Pentagroup bought the fake account and has been trying to collect on it for over a year and they do NOT listen when I tell them that I have proof that I don't owe it! I have my credit report that they will NOT take as proof!!!! I'm getting so sick and tired of them and if they continue, I will be pursuing legal action against them for harassment.
Collection on Credit Report
Well, I have been in Iraq for almost a year now, and i get my credit report every month. This month I got an email stating that there was a potentially negative addition to my report. When I looked at it, it has Pentagroup Financial on it and its in collections. I haven't gotten anything stating that I have anything past due let alone delinquent, neither have my parents (that is where my mail goes), and the only bill that i have left is my car, if this is an old debt you would think that something would have been sent to me within the past 12 months, right, guess not. I don't even have the slightest idea of what this 'debt' might be. How would i even go about settling this if I'm in Iraq? It took my credit score down 60 points. I have slowly been building my credit back up, and now this out of no where. Is there a way i can settle this via email or something?

Poor Analytical Work
These guys go fishing a lot. I get calls from them relative to a debt that is owed by someone with the same name. Evidently they go to the white pages, get all the numbers for all the people that have the name they are looking for and call all of them and harass them. When I told the caller that the last four digits of the ssn he was not me he continue to ask me questions, obviously thinking I was lying. If he done any home work at all, he could have seen my address, which could not have been the address of the party he was looking for, since I had been at the same address for 20 years! These guys take the collections business back to the dark ages.

I just opened a business and Pentagroup Financial Group's computer keeps calling my line looking for someone I have never heard of. I took time out of my busy day to politely ask that they take MY business line off the list. They didn't. After many more computer voice calls, I called and asked again. They didn't again. Called a third time and man who answered the phone was very rude like I had no right to be upset that their error was causing my employees to be distracted from their job trying to deal with these constant interruptions. I understand the need to track down people who don't pay their bills, but this company is a disgrace in the way they handle their business.
I am using this site and others to collect names of all the companies they buy dept from and I'm going to send letters to them so those companies know that their good names are being abused by this company. I am also sending letters to the State Attorney Generals office (I play golf with him), the BBB, the Chamber of Commerce and several other people who might get them to listen better than just a little old business owner like me. I really don't have time to do this, but they are so rude that I feel I have no choice. No business should be allowed to operate in a way that punishes innocent people and/or treats them in such a manner.
If this company is contacting you, legit or not, please post the name of the original company you had a credit problem with so I can send letters to them. There is a proper way to run a collection agency. I know first hand it is not an easy task, but harassing innocent people and then being rude and unhelpful when those people try to remedy a situation they caused is just plain wrong.
Give me a list of companies I can contact and I will do my best to put these goons out of business.
Harrassing calls from Pentagroup Financial
Just wanted to let you know what I did to take care of harassing calls & ltrs from a collection agency. I purchased a prepaid legal plan (concept is endorsed by National Association of Attorneys General see their website under 'Resolutions'). I called the provider attorney (which is free if you belong to the plan) and the attorney told me exactly what my rights are and what to do. They even wrote a ltr on my behalf to the collection agency. The collection agency stopped what they were doing. (In my case it was for a debt that I did NOT owe and for which they had no proof.) It turns out that if an attorney writes a ltr or makes a ph call, their legal department has to deal with it and they'll do what they're supposed to do. Yippee!
Why is Renee Russo so evil?
I was called by Renee Russo at this company when she relized she had the wrong person she made insulting comments and hung up on me. She is a rude girl and should be fired!

These people are straight up thieves.i had already paid another collection agency and they were still trying to collect on the same debt. Kept telling the guy i was talking to that i had already paid another collect agency and how do i know that after paying them/ pentagroup that another collect agency wont call and me asking me to pay. He gave me some stupid reasons, saying that the collections agency that i paid, charged me less than what i was suppose to pay. lol isn't that stupid? i asked him what that had to do with me and he threatened that today was my last day to pay. I had to go back to my back info, get the number of the agency i had paid to, spoke to them and they advised me not to pay a dime to them unless i was feeling charitable. They faxed me a copy of my settlement and asked me to fax it to them. keep calling to get there fax number and the guy never answered. Thanks to the guy who left the number on top, i was able to contact them and the lady i spoke with said it shows i had paid on the debt and that she will take care of it. Am still going to send them the fax.Another funny thing, the guy / company never called back again after i told him i had spoken with the other collection agency

questions about pentagroup financial
i would like to say that pentagroup financial is a collection agency but we are by far not the sharks that most of the agencys are we really do try to work with people but the problem is that when we call people (debtors) they are rude off the bat it is not are fault they incurred this debt but you will see if you give us half a chance we could help you .
Keeps calling and calling and calling and calling
Unbelievable!!! I have been divorced for 5+ years. My X filed for bankruptcy about 3 years ago. Phone calls stopped. Now here we go again. Getting a call at the house about every half hour. I have asked on several occasions to be removed from the list. I have no way of contacting her. I have no information for these people. They say they will remove me from the list they say they will highlight in yellow that I have no information and not to contact me. THEY STILL KEEP CALLING!!!
At this point I wouldn't give them my X's number even if I knew it, they are sooooo..... annoying!!!!

I haven't dealt with Pentagroup, but the agencies are more or less the same. They want money, and they try to get it.
Remember that the Fair Credit Reporting Act makes making false credit reports illegal. You need to contest the reports with each credit agency and then go after the false reporters.
Also, recall that debt collectors are required by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act to verify debts IF YOU ASK. Beyond doing that, I wouldn't talk to them unless you can pay the debt if it's valid. You do need to make sure the debt is valid, though. The things get sold from collector to collector, and you might pay the wrong person by accident.
