Hi Everyone!!

Today, May 25, is mine and my husband's two year wedding anniversary! It has been tow wonderful years! He is out of state working right now, so we couldn't celebrate exactly on schedule. But, in keeping with tradition, he bought me another teddy bear to join the other two! It's a little tan bear holding three roses and a little pillow that says "Beary Special". He also gave me a little card thanking me for a wonderful year!

Hi Ari

Heartiest congratulations to you and Frank on your second anniversary.

The first seven years of marriage are very sensitive. In this period, the level of understanding is very important. If you share a good understanding with your partner, life will be a perfect bliss for both of you. Gradually, the married couple gets familiar with each other and their habits. And the life moves on smoothly. I wish everyone lives their married life at the most.

Thanks you guys!

Mary, the first year is indeed the year of adjustment. Knowing how to compromise and negotiate is the way to go.

As far as getting to know each other's habits, funny story...I was emptying the dishwasher the other night when I dropped a glass pot lid and it shattered, made a lot of noise. I knew that Frank would hear it and come in to scold me and bust my chops. I got the brush and dustpan out and was yelling across the apartment "Nothing to see here, everything's alright!" But sure enough he came into the kitchen with a huge smile on his face, shaking his index finger at me and reminding me that I owe him a new pot.

Ari---Do you collect teddy bears? Or are you now collecting them because Frank gives them to you. Last week was teacher appreciation week at our school and one of my students gave me the cutest brown beanie baby bear that says "World's Best Teacher." I don't usually like bears, but this was too cute.

I didn't before, there is a rather funny story behind the teddy bear tradition that begins on our first date! After we had a wonderful evening playing billiards, having dinner, kissing, and talking, he went to his car and gave me something in a little gift-bad...a cactus!! I thought "what an unusual gift, must be Danish tradition to give cacti instead of flowers.." So smiled and exclaimed about what a beautiful cactus it was! He laughed and said it was a gag gift! The REAL gift was my first teddy bear! Is still have it! It is a small tan bear with a purple and plaid satin ribbon and a costume jewelry amethyst on it's lapel.
