Avatar?

Okay I figured out what the problem was. The image I wanted to use was .pnp file. I will settle for this one and see if I can change that image to a .jpg.

Like I said earlier, your avatar is very soothing to the eyes.

Avatars also don't get uploaded if they go beyond the permissible size set in the system.

I hate to admit this, but I have just spent 45 mins. trying to download/upload whatever it is---yahoo mail avatar to here and I CAN'T. I am so frustrated. I have read and tried and can't make it work please help me :(

Also when I try and look at the images on the edit profile section here, the pictures don't show---the show little boxes with red x's in them.

Do you get any error message after you try to upload it?? The error message can be hard to see, it will be towards the top of the screen - also, did you save the avatar to your computer? If so, right-click on it and see what the size is. It might be too big!! We will get that avatar up no matter what, it will just take some time!!

You know Mary I don't know if I loaded onto my computer. I just know that I clicked on create Avatar on my yahoo mail page and followed those directions. I did right click on it and I don't think anything happened, I will try it again. I did get an error message about 3 different times and it said 3 different things, cause I was trying a variety of methods. I'll try again--thanks for your assistance.

Let me PM you some avatar sites, since it seems you are not able to put your yahoo one here. You can find a great one!

Mary---I am just a teensy bit too old for Tinkerbell sheets, but I think I can use the avatar and people will just think I am a slightly wacko old lady. I liked Tink better than some of those scary looking avatars!!

There ARE some scary looking avatars. I am a huge fan of dragons and fairies, and believe me, I saw some freaky ones! As if mine isn't freaky....LOL!!

Mary, I am a huge fan of fairies (thats why I recognized your Jasmine avatar....love her artwork) and I have seen real freaky or disturbing icons....*shudders* Yours is not freaky, it's cute! lol

Well, I can like Tinkerbell I think---I just would look really silly flying over Fantasyland in a size 2X tutu---maybe they could bring in a crane and hoist me up there. (Some kid would say "mommy how come Tinkerbell can't fly on her own and has to be on a crane?) :lol:

Now that is one thing I would suffer through disneyland to see!

ok, help! I need a new Miami Dolphins avatar..I did a google search, found some pics, but I don't know how to make them small enough to fit. Once I get it small enough I know what to do from there, but how the heck do I shrink it down? I got lucky with the one I have now..It was already small.

I use photoshop for that, but I don't know if you have Photoshop. A lot of other programs will do it...any program that you can use to edit an image should suffice. What kind of programs do you have like that?

Maybe! If there are menus along the top, look under each ont, probably "edit" or "image" and look for resize. *crossing fingers*
