General statements, especially those with no factual basis like yours Ipay, are what cause problems in a community, both in the real world and the cyber world. If you are truly a person well versed in the global economy as you try to present yourself (though I have my doubts) you understand than many businesses operate 24/7/366 and as such the people that keep those companies operating don't necessarily have a pretty little Monday through Friday 8:30 to 5:00 jobs. Many people work second or third shift, or even on call and have no schedule at all as is my case. I do work, I actually have a well paying job where I have only a two hour call to be away from home for up to 5 days at a time. I am paid a minimum guaranteed salary and have my finances tailored so that in slow times I can still meet my commitments. I am paid whether my company calls me or not.

Obviously, my job has much more social value than harassing consumers over (often times) piddly debts and getting my jollies out of it, but then again, someone has to do the crap work that even the illegal immigrant won't do. I am not saying people do not have to be responsible for paying thier bills, they certainly do. However, the tactics used by collections agencies to try and force this to happen are often counter productive. Yes, some people do require a stronger approach, but trying to use rear and intimidation on every consumer is a litte like using a 2X4 to swat a fly. Sometime get the fly, some times you dont, but your will certainly end up with expensive holes in th wall or broken windows..


By the way I am a locomotive engineer, working the trains that bring products and commodities to market, and my particular assignment has me working the coal trains that fuel the power plants which provide electricity for the NE Illinois (Chicago) Northwest Indians, eastern Wisconsin, and Southern Michigan area. IF you live in any of those areas, you are welcome to enjoy the fruits of my labor,and that of my brothers and sisters, but no thanks is needed or expected.

I will admit, I have had problems in the past but have learned from my mistakes, and am trying to use my experiences to help others to avid those problems and to deal with their debts and finances in a responsible , ethical manner. Rather than letting this debate to continue, it may be time to consider having some people, who hide behind screen names and guest access banned. I do not use a false name, and I am hiding from no one.

Hi

We aim to build this forum with discussions on debt related issues and solutions. Unfortunately, some collectors just don't want to have sound discussions but show their sarcastic attitude. Their offending posts resemble the dangerous collection tactics.

These collectors need to grow up and live a matured life, not to bash others.

That is how collectors act. But this forum is no place for them to come and treat people the way this jerk did. He exposed personal information on here that should remain private. There was absolutely no reason for this guy to have treated the members the way he did. It was/is totally uncalled for.

keep posting ipay and everyone here gets to make money off of your crap.. kinda cool.. as for me I donate what I make here to my local food bank, unless I donate here online.. as for slanderous posts, I have said nothing here that cannot be shown to be opinion based on experience and direct and documented dealings. I act a moderator here on a volunteer basis......so there :P
