Do you have the full name of LSI? It will be helpful if you can put some more information about them. I will put a search on them.

I assume that the person with whom you are at work might have given your name as a reference to the company. This might be the reason for them getting back to you. Tell them that you are not related in this matter and hence should not be called further. The company should honor your request.

No I don't have a full name. When I called the number back the recording said thank you for calling LSI. The number is 800-503-4714. I have been asking them to quit calling for about a week. I even asked them 3 times today.

I found Liquidebt Systems Incorporated and Lending Solutions Incorporated as possibilities.

That wouldn't happen to be out friend Paul Kupferstein from Liability Solutions, Inc, would it???

I bet they claim as well to not fall under the fdcpa.

They are in that super special part of Canada where no consumer protection laws apply. Not Canada, Ontario, US or otherwise.
