Does anyone ever deal with Paychecktoday and United Legal Corporation?

I am in the process of dealing with them - as a matter of fact today - I have worked out a payment arrangements of $74.15 for 5 payments? What is up with the company - did you find out something wrong with the collections agency or Paychecktoday? I am not logged in write now but you can pm me as my name above - thanks

You were able to work out a payment arrangment with Paycheck today? My loan went into default last week and I informed the paycheck today about it. They said to call back after they attempted to ACH debit my account (which was pointless seeing that it was closed). So I called today and see if I can arrange something. The lady said I was not able to and that she will turn over my account to United Legal Corporation? I told her I was not able to make a payment until July and she found that very unacceptable. My loan of 300 dollars quickly turned into a balance of 500.10.

I will pm you soon.

you are all admitting that you owe the debt, so could you explain why they should validate it? or do you have so many payday loans out you can't keep up with them? did you not print out the agreement when they gave you the loan?

Hi ipaymybills

I am sure you know the answer to your question. Why should a collection agency validate the debt? Why not?? We are backed by the federal laws that help us in identifying the collection agency making legal collections. You also know that different CAs come up with the same accounts at different times. If we start paying the CA without any documentation, we are not sure that the money is going to the right place. Any CA making a genuine collection should come out with the details of the accounts and we will surely pay them. I hope there is nothing wrong with the thought that we are preventing from being scammed.

ipaymybills,

Nice to know you are following me. It makes me feel so loved.

To answer your question, yes, I do acknowledge I owe the debt and I would like to have a debt validation in writing so that way I know how they reach that balance, to ensure the payment is going to the right place and it will be credited towards the balance.

If they refuse to cooperate in payment arrangement, what would you propose to do, ipaymybills?
