Date: Tue, 05/30/2006 - 17:14
I sent a request for debt validation to the JDB~Asset.
This is the reply I got:
Dear RSB,
Thankyou for your request for further debt validation of your citibank account.
Enclosed please find an account statement prepared with the use of information provided to us by the prior creditor.
Please contact me so we can work towards resolving this matter.
This is an attempt to collect a debt and any infoformation obtained will be used for that purpose.
Sincerely,
M. DebtCollector
Account Satement:
Statement date May 20, 2006
Prior /original creditor Citibank
prior account# 0000000
name RSB Principal 7200 interest fees 3600 balance 10800
last transaction Sept 30, 2003
address and partial SS were also listed
I have only requested debt validation one time. The debt collector said thanks for further validation. The original balnce was not as high as listed.
The date of last transaction may be several weeks/incorrect.
Please tell if if this debt has truly been validated. What else should I expect to form this CA/JDB?
Thanks for any help.

The CA claims that they have sufficiently validated your debt. But you find this information to be incorrect or incomplete. So, you need to place it on dispute with the company. Do you have proof of how much you actually owe so that you place yourself in a comfortable situation?
Proper Debt validation must have the complete and accurate information about your debt account. You have the legal rights to dispute it and refuse payment till it gets rectified. Send your letter through certified mail with return receipt requested for your documentation.
