I got a voicemail from this company, called them back and it just so happened that my phone broke up on the man and I couldn't hear him. He called me back, left a message and was super rude. Telling me maybe I should fix my phone before I make any other phone calls.!! What an a&&!! Has anyone ever dealt with this company or know anything about them? I check with the BBB and they aren't members and have an unsatisfactory record with them. Please help!!! Thank you.

Pentagroup Financial is a collection agency and I have heard the worst feedback about them. They have rude behavior towards everyone over the phone calls. First and foremost, get the debt validated from them in writing. Do not agree to pay anything while you have reviewed the account thoroughly.

Send the letter through certified mail with return receipt requested for proof. Do you know the name of the credit company they are attempting collections. Get in touch with them directly and make payment arrangements.

I received a harassing phone call from the Pentagroup demanding $695.00 for an old debt from J. C. Penney accounting going back to 2000. Every night in a row they kept calling. Strangely enough, I started getting phonecalls from another collection agency called The Northland Group requesting the same delinquent balance from J. C. Penney. I looked them up, and it turns out these are two different collection agencies located in different states. I was told by the lady from the Northland Group that I should not contact J. C. Penney to obtain an itemized list of what supposedly was included in my outstanding balance. In addition, she also mentioned that if I settled my account immediately, she was only going to charge $250.00.

from 2000?what state are you in?yes contact JCPENNY.they will tell you that because chances are it is past the SOL,and getting that info from JCPENNY will confirm it.tell them that you request something in writing from them.if they don't comply.send them a C&D letter.send it certified mail return receipt.if you can remeber the date of last payment that would go a long way to establishing whether the SOL is past.

These are definitly rude people. They had my husband down for an unpaid debt. When I questioned Barbara Killey she was rude and only said I was trying to get out of this...also that my husband didnt tell me about this debt but I would find out when she sent the sheriff to the house with papers. I contacted the people with whom the debt was originally through giving them my husband's S.S. #. It was not him. It is another person in our area with the same name. Called Barbara back and she realized her mistake but would not apologize and it only ended up in another screaming match. Very unprofessional and companies should not hire these people.

They are the worst people to try and deal with.. You are on the phone trying to work out something with them. They start with this huge amount at first, then 1/2 off and then how about another 500. off.. Try to set up a payment and he slams the phone down? What are my rights?
