Validation letter comments wanted
Date: Mon, 06/05/2006 - 21:58
I'm preparing to send out a final validation request
to a place out of Denver, Co. A local joint!
They contacted me about a debt, I sent validation letter, they sent photocopies back. What they returned did NOT satisfy the request I sent.
Just today, did I get another letter from them, dated May 17. Stating they have not recieved payment on said account.
I am preparing to E-Mail them the following letter, using their website feedback form, with a printed copy being mailed out CM-RRR in the morning. Or in the next day or two, depending on suggestions etc...

This is in reply to a letter from this office, dated
May 17, 2006. I requested validation of your claim, in writing, on March 23, 2006. What I recieved after that DOES NOT provide the required validation.
Your claims will be disputed until such time that proper validation has been recieved!
At this time, you have 10 days to validate your claim.
You are being required to provide me the following information:
1. Provide name and address of original creditor.
2. A detailed payment history. Showing the amount owed. And stating exactly how you came up with the amount you claim I owe.
3. Provide copies of ANY papers that show I agreed to pay the amount in question. Including copies of any original signed agreements.
4. Provide proof that you are assigned to collect debt by original creditor.
5. Provide proof that the Statute of Limitations has not expired.
6. Prove you are licensed to collect in the state of Colorado.
Further action(s) will be considered if the above requirements are not recieved.
Thank you,
K Hahn
What I could use right now, are comments/suggestions/changes to letter before sending
out. May follow up on this by filing a complaint with the Denver BBB.
As always, information greatly appreciated!

I wonder why the CA didn't send you the needful info earlier. Since they feel that the debt has already been validated, change the heading to "Debt Verification Request" with the points mentioned. It will come out as you are disputing their debt validation within the 30 days period. Meanwhile, get in contact with the CRA and put them on investigating this item. All disputed entries must be off from the credit report.
