Hi

Back in February I borrowed $450.00 from a storefront
pay day lender. Car troubles happened and I stopped
payment on the check to them. Now they are taking
me to court in with a trial date of August 13. Is
it still possible for me to make payment arrangements or if it got that far is it to late? Help

Thank you

Yes I had to go to the post office and pick up a summons to appear. Is it to late?

I just read it, page by page this morning. It does
say I can contact them for payment arrangement, so that is good news. Basically it is from the District Court and has a trial date on it. I will never take out a pay day loan again

more importantly, no matter what show up at the court date unless you receive written notice from the court that it has been cancelled. If you are successful in setting up arrangements do not agree to them unless they agree to drop the suit and provide you with proof that it has been dropped. as d says above, get everything in writing and document everything you do in written form as well.
