I hope this help some of you.My friend in NC was take to court for a credit card bill that he never payed but after I reserched on this site I found out the Statute of limitation ran out and the Judge throw it out.

Yes, you are legally not required to pay the debt after the statutes have expired. Make sure that you don't make any commitment or agreement to pay the debt once it is past the SOL. It might happen that the collector will have your statement recorded and prove things against you. You must have everything documented so that the judge understands the situation clearly.
