How long is the statue of liminations on parking tickets?

Can a collections agency collect on parking tickets that are 13 years old? I have not been in the State of Conn for years, I just recieved a notice for a Mass collection agency at my Arizona home.. How do I find out if they are licenced in the state of Arizona?

In Downers Grove, Illinois, I was turned over to a Collection Agency for a parking ticket.

Dupage County Illinois just announced they have contracted with two Collections agencies (see my previous post ) to collect on court ordered fines, judgments, etc. Under Illinois they can attempt to collect for 20 years. Since your dealing with the governments money the SOL is probably very long or there simply isn't one at all.

Wow, I was surprised on this one. So I called the FTC and asked them . The CA's that the municipality contracts with is still governed by the fdcpa, and the FCRA still applies. The 7 year time for reporting would be from the Date the tickets were issued, or if the matter actually went to the court, 7 years from the date the court ruled on the ticket. So 13 year old ticket?? they may still be legally collectible, but are not reportable on your credit report.
