I always thought I was, but this has me stumped... I cannot view secured web pages. What setting could I possibly have wrong???

Hmmmmm...Could be something in your security settings maybe??? I'm not an expert though...If you go into Toos, then Internet Options, there will be a spot for Security settings..YOu could try that....

Dunno..I'll try to keep this bumped for someone who knows what they're talking about.

Did you click 'no' when entering a secure website? You need to allow the website to share information with you before entering in it. If you have clicked 'no' the website won't allow you to enter. You will have to go to your browser settings.

Tools - Internet options - security - trusted sites - add this website to the zone(give the url) - add

Actually it was the IE7 that was not compatible with a lot of websites. IE7 is a 'beta' version, which means a test version. So I do not understand why 7 overwrote 6. I downloaded Fire Fox, which is pretty much the same as IE7, but websites work with it. Now I cannot download my free version of Mcafee with Fire Fox or IE7, so I am trying to figure out how to get 7 off and 6 back on. Oh and my power cord to my laptop seems to have a short in it. I love my life:)
