Online PDLs Soliciting

Yep had one yesterday. We have security screening on our phone so the ring was broken but I answered it anyways, I was up for it! It was a recorded message about being eligible for an online pdl! What a joke, no way!!!

See! See! We are getting the word out that they are TROUBLE---they must be hurting for business. Serves the low-life crooks right! Score one for the GOOD GUYS!

I haven't gotten a phone call yet but I received a postcard for an online payday lender in the mail yesterday. It's one I haven't even heard of but it went right in the trash.

The phone call I got was from one I hadn't heard of either. Weird I thought I knew them all by now between who I borrowed from and this forum!! :)

I had Alpha Processing call me at work about 1 month ago and asked if I'd like to reloan for $200 since i paid it off in January...lol I said, "Is this a joke?" LOL

Believe it or not I received one through a text message on my cell phone, I don't know how in the world that happened. It must have been from awhile ago when I signed up for one of these stupid things and I must have filled in my cell phone number as being optional. I replied back with everyword possible (STOP, OPT-OUT AND UNSUBCRIBE) LOL..I hoped it worked because I haven't seen one since.

On your CELL PHONE? A TEXT MESSAGE?

Well, one positive to this, is these animals must be getting REEEEEEEEEEAL desperate. Maybe they're on their way out! :)

OK, before I continue...I just wanna say, the following is NOT FOR ME!!!

A friend of mine, who is going with us to vegas, asked me yesterday if I knew of any "cash advance loans" that didn't ask for a check number. She doesn't have checks, but is trying to get a loan till the 30th because that's when she gets paid, and she's broke for vegas. THANK GOD I honestly don't know any that don't ask for a check number, so I couldn't give her any, BUT, I really don't know how to discourage her from getting a PDL anyway...any advice?

Seriously, I would level with her and tell her how much these will hurt you. She's her own person, and if she really wants to get a pdl, MOST of mine didn't ask for a check number....But I really don't want to give that information, because I'd feel like I was giving her a lethal dose of prescription medication, or putting a gun to her head. :(

Yeah...I should probably do that.

If she is a real friend she will be appreciative that you cared enough to at least warn her. But, she is obviously an adult and you can't tell her what to do and if she wants to get the money bad enough, she will.

Tell her about this website lol, that would do it for me...

I had one of my "old" companies call me on Friday asking me to reloan with them since it had been since December. I scream not interested and hung up the phone. Are they crawling out of the woodwork lately? :x

Well, cashcentral sent me an email asking me if I wanted to apply for a job with them... That would be fun.

Don't you guys just want to run over the sign in your town that says PAYDAY LOANS HERE!?!?!?!?!?! OMG This AWFUL feeling comes over me just when I see those words. I literally feel sick to my stomach.

I did see something on the news the other night where they are trying to ban them that attract people in the military. I didn't hear the whole story so that is really all I know. Isn't that sad that they set up around places where they know people are desperate?

They must be, because I got an e-mail offering the same thing, and I just went into default on my PDLs. Of course I deleted it. You would think they would have some kind of link to let them know that I am in default and not to loan to me, what jerks!!!!!
