Hi,

We have been working really hard to understand the need of our community members and providing all possible help . I feel still we have scope for huge improvements in DebtCC.

Please let me know your feedbacks, the missing features, the complexities involved and anything that can help us improve.

I am looking forward for your feedback. I know you will participate :) .

Regards,
Vikas

Hi Vikas

I am a regular poster in your forum for a while. I like to offer help, I can do from my side and understand the problems of people coming here. I can relate myself at a point and try to be in their shoes.

If my suggestion sounds helpful, will it be possible for you to put the address and contact number of the consolidation company in the "thank you" page that comes after sign up. I have heard people unable to reach their consultant or not able to pick up their call. If some information comes handy, it will be helpful.

Your website is a huge cove of information and it's always helpful to not only the people in need but also for anyone who wants to acquire knowledge and get updated. There are knowledgeable members in this forum who make all the difference. I wish you all the best for this valuable website.

Vikas--I don't know how this would work but..

Today, I deleted like THIRTY spam posts from one thread..I couldn't delete the whole thread because it was an active thread with a ton of good information, so I had to do it one by one...Can you make it so I can do a mass delete in a specific thread? Like check boxes, or something similar. I know how to do it when they post a brand new thread of junk, but I can't figure a good way to do it when they take an existing thread and plaster it.

How about a "Reply with Quote" or something similar?? sometime you see something you want to address specifically, and it would be nice to click one button and have the quoted text and author put in for you instead of having to cut, paste and format.

You have something similar in the PM feature. It would be nice in the rest of the forums.

And I agree with Jessie, an easier to use mass delete tool for the moderators to use in combating the spammers would be nice.

Thank you all for the feedbacks and suggestions.

I will make the page better and offer the complete information. Company's full name is already available on the page.

Yes this will be done and we will make a simpler interface for our moderators. I hate spammers and their club but somehow they like our forums and are after it everyday. If we add more spam controllers at user level it may create more complexity and discomfort for users who find our existing simple forum model complex. One day if they cross the think red line of my patience I will just *#$%^ .

Clay says

We had this option but after analyzing the result we found that it was adding complexity at user level esp for new users. Also few people started using it as an alternative for "post reply". Using [quote][/quote] tag is an alternative available for advance members. I will enable it for advance members.

Again a big thanks for all the motivational and encouraging words. Your suggestions and feedbacks are very very useful and important for me. I will be always available for all our community members :).

Our whole system is still complex for many new visitors as they are not accustoming to forums. We need to think some simpler solution for it.

I am looking forward for more suggestions and feedbacks.

Thanks,
Vikas

    Vikas,

I really believe that we need some member's only posting area for those of us who would like to discuss common topics. Not necessarily to separate us from the non-member crowd, but that they could READ the item, but not post unless they sign up. Some of us that have been around a while have a lot of information that we could share, but the point gets lost when someone posts a new question (which should be a new topic) in the middle of a thread--It gets things off track and disorganized.

And maybe a "read before you post" section. I've seen these on other sites. With information such as "search before you post." We've got SO many duplicate threads. Many questions that are asked have already been answered more than once. I don't like to repeat myself in person, let alone type the same things over and over.

I love this forum, but lately it's become just a bit disorganized. :(

What does everyone else think? Am I just getting over critical, or what?

Vikas, I may be a little harsh here, please forgive me, but it looks like the Debt CC Complain Center is not being used the way you intended it. An "Anonymous" poster is directing all of her frustration at us! Your idea behind it was to compile a Top Ten Worst Collection Agency list, and this poster is not posting asking us for any guidance of advice, she's whining! I don't dare visit the Complain Center anymore because the whole this has turned to mush! We keep telling her, me, JJ, Clay, Jessi, and god knows who else try to tell her that her frustration is misdirected and we are here to help, but she just keeps going!!!!

Jessi, I concur with you that hings have been a little out of whack here lately. It's why I haven't been around much. I've tried to keep up, but it makes my head spin. Also, there are a number of new members who are not inclined to reading the current posts before asking a question. My pm has been loaded up with repeat questions from the same person who just does not have to compunction to pay attention to my responses! I've also found some of the more recent new members to be rather obnoxious! I give the same information over and over again to the same person, now I feel like telling that person "You made your bed, now lay in it!"

The corporation I work at has a multitude of rules. I guess it has to be that way when governing over 1,000 employees. We may have to tighten our belts around here in order to maintain some decorum in this forum. (Rhyme not intended)

Ok, here's my 2 cents...I don't know how to put this, so I'm going to just blurt it out... When I first came here I felt like everyone cared about each other and we were a great group of people helping each other out. There was nothing we couldn't lay on each other...Now it seems like some of the replies we get are borderline rude or useless. If I'm excited about a debt that I took care of and want to share it with you guys, I guess I want the back-slaps and atta girls that I used to get..I don't need people second guessing me or telling me that I paid my debt wrong, or that "great, you got it paid! But it'll come back and bite you in the butt!" That's doomsdaying, and it sucks...Also, and maybe I'm paranoid here, but it sometimes seems like people are posting just for points..That's not the meaning of this board.
Wow, I guess this thread has turned into a massive B session...But..It's still a great place to be, and I still love it here. Hmm..maybe we should make new people go through initiation or something...

I also agree. We answer the same questions over and over and over sometimes. We also have quite a few "jerks" on here and even lately a few "psychos". I agree with Jessi's suggestion about a members only posting area. I know that a LOT of us on here don't feel as comfortable as we once did about posting certain things, like pdl's being written off, etc. because of things that have happened. I know that I still love it here and have made some great friends and I won't go away but things do seem to be spinning out of control some days. (Sorry, I just had to join the *itching - can't miss a good session :) )

I gotta agree with you ladies. I too get tired of seeing the same questions over and over, (maybe a FAQ using the white board?) to address the common "beginner" questions.. Post an announcement to read through there before posting questions.. and keep the forums for the "advanced" issues?

I still think a lot of people come here trying to find out how to uses the laws to escape their responsibilities, when that isn't what this community is about at all. I also see a lot of people asking the same questions over and over that can be answered with very little effort ( sometime the answer is only a few posts below their question!).

Ok...I'm still venting here, so excuse me.

I usually will log in, in the morning to check things out before I go to work. There have been days when there are 3 topics by the same poster asking the same question in different ways. And multiple threads about the same company, or the same issue. There is NO WAY that you're going to learn what you need to by asking your questions ALLL over the place. And I really don't have the time or the patience to chase anyone around to answer them.

When I first came here, I was looking for a phone number for a PDL. I searched it BEFORE I posted. I joined and posted after I'd started the process and asked questions along the way. And it WORKS for me. I have paid off ALL of my PDL's and many other bills this way. This place SAVED me from my problems, but I'm afraid that new people aren't going to get the same results as some of us "old" people have because it's just getting so congested around here.

I'm with you on this Jessi, I almost thought I was alone here. Tammy is not wrong to feel what she is feeling, nor is Clay, Sue, and finsfan. We have all been bombarded by whiners, losers, and really flaky people lately and it is really shaking up the integrity of this forum and it's entire purpose. Until recently I had half a mind to tell some of these clowns that I don't waste time on losers, that they did this to themselves, and they should just grow up and get their act together. BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE ARE SURROUNDED BY!!!

Jessi, us "veterans" came here with an issue that we felt had us backed into a corner, and we had each other's back. That is what this forum was built upon. Now it has become so loosey-goosey around here that we are babysitting a bunch of adult children who don't think before they act.

I am so glad you guys see it too...I came here last winter because I googled the name of a payday loan company. Like Jessi, i was in the process of straightening up my mess, and thanks to the advice of you guys in THIS thread, I'm good now. I've made some terrific friends in the process, I've gotten way more than I've bargained for. I refuse to let small minded people ruin it for me or any of us. Guys, we've applauded each other and stood together for awhile now..We need to do it again, and make this place the way it was before.

I feel so much better now that this issue has been rolled out onto the table for examination! You know, I almost thought I was alone in this, I almost thought that I was the sole dumping ground around here! It was turning me into a grouchy and antisocial Jedi! But now that we've addressed this and we're all in the same boat, I'm a happy Jedi! Now I'm more than ready to partake in cleaning up this town! May the force be with us all!

Sue, you don't sound like a *itch. It is rediculous and it is awfully rude on their part to not pay attention and keep harping on you again and again. I really am amazed at myself for not blowing up at a particular student loan debtor the day she loaded up my pm with the same questions about her student loan and kept ending the questions with "..or what?" I just found her to be so dense and obnoxious. Goodness gracious me, it almost made me turn to the dark side!

i have a suggestion, and I have made this before. I am really tired of people asking question like "I stopped paying on my credit card six years ago is it beyond the statute of limitations?"

HELLO PEOPLE! we need to know where your at, at least your state. Vikas, can we please require people to give at least their STATE of residence when they post (maybe make it a requirement for the system o even post it? Other wise every time these questions come up it takes three or four post to get enough information out of them to be able to help them (and of course, if it take three or four post t get information out of them that makes me think they are withholding information or at least being slightly dishonest.

Lets face it. For most people it does take a large amount of courage to post o n this forum, because you presumably bearing your soul and admitting your financial screw up for the world to see. If your going to do this, get the information out there so that people who need in order to be able to help you can do so right off the bat, instead of making them extract information like and impacted tooth!

How very true, Clay. I know that for a long time I was almost ashamed to admit what had happened to get me in the situation we were in. Now I'm glad to help others.
