I agree with you, it's getting ridiculous. :(

It may not actually happen, the Pentagon has canceled plans to move more troops in, and has begun sending equipment back tot he US.
My Nephew joint the Air Force two years ago, and was told he would be sent to either Iraq or S. Korea, and was ultimately issued orders to report to S. Korea. but before that happened his orders were canceled and he is still state side at a base about 100 mile from his home.
Please do me a favor though, and thank this person for their service to protect and defend or freedom? I would appreciate that very much.
Tammy, I hope that what happened to Clay's nephew happens to you
Tammy, I hope that what happened to Clay's nephew happens to your friends son. I know we have a lot of troops from my area over there and a lot have been killed and injured. I think it's sad, we won't win and the only thing that is happening is that innocent people are losing their lives for no good reason. We need to get out of there now and let them deal with their own problems.
I am very proud of him defending our country. It just makes me
I am very proud of him defending our country. It just makes me mad that it has come to this. Clay, I hope your right and he gets to stay state side.

If any of you have any experience with friends & family being in the military one thing you learn is to hurry up and wait. So Clay while your nephew's orders have been cancelled they are just as likely to be reactivated---let us hope not. When my daughter's husband was in Iraq (2 years ago) their tour was extended several times and when he finally was due to come home nothing was ever a definite time. And Tammy lets hope that your friend doesn't have to leave at all.

Living in an army life is not an easy job. My dad served in army for 38 long years. He got all the facilities and comfort that the Govt can provide at the best. He is now retired but still gets most of the facilities. When he was serving, he has taken a lot of shifting. Sometimes, the internal system within the area really sucks. You give your whole life to the country and guess what, your fellow officer stamps over you to get the maximum benefits. I guess every field has some loopholes and US Defense is not an exception.
