anyone got any ideas on how to stop interest charges on paydayselect. i thought i ahd worked out an agreement but they just keep going up and up. i haven't been able to send them any money right now been paying on other bills and my money just hasn't spread as far it should this last week. any ideas would help thanks. oh and i sent this email to them it wasn't professional or nothing just me being honest with them:
Quote:
it would really help if you stopped racking up the interest fees on it. i want to get it paid off just like i want to pay off my other pdls. I wont have no money for you til after the 1st and im not sure if i will then and i'm being honest here. so if you want to sent my account to a collection agency go head. it would also be nice if you marked my account paid in full since you legally aren't allowed to lend in the state of oklahoma. but since you then lend in my state, i want to pay back only the orginal loan which i do believe at this point i only owe 160.00 on. So if you really want to work with me then you will stop the interest charges and allowe me to pay on 160.00 dollars. then mark my account in paid in full once the 160.00 is paid. deal?

will let you know what they say

Try an actual snail mail letter - perhaps a certified letter with a return receipt (so you'll have proof they received it). If they can't lend in the state of OK, and they did, I'd check on what action you can take on that.
I don't have any personal experience with payday loans, but I do know an actual letter might be responded to - but then again, they might not respond to anything.

Keep us posted!

I am lost in he!! with these people. How do I find out if Platinum B and FSM Marketing are legal in Oklahoma and what do I do if they aren't. These people from I Collect are not very forthcoming with anything except threats.

No business is allowed to make threats while attempting collections. The fdcpa laws restrict such companies from involving in harsh collections. Check with the Dept. of State in your area and verify the licensing info. of Platinum B and FSM. They need to have a valid license before collecting money from you. Read the FDCPA for better information about your legal rights.
