I have a pdl with Sonic payday. They are referring my acct to Universal Fidelity. What is this company like. Does not sound good. Will they do wage garnishments or will they work with me on making payments? Do they attached high fees. This is my first time. I am very concerned. Anyone out there have any suggestions.

Sharon

Please search the forum for information on both sonic payday and universal fidelity, there is a wealth of information about both companies here. You may want to send them a wage revocation letter but they cannot garnish your wages with an electronic signature. Welcome to the boards!

Sonic payday does not follow the legal payday loan regulations as per the state laws. Sources confirm most of their business activities are conducted without a state license. If Sonic is sending your account to UF, I am not sure your file will reach them with the accurate details. Sonic has been adding excessive interests and charges on many accounts. They are calculated beyond the permissible state laws. You can directly deal with Sonic and ask them to present the accurate standing of your loan account. If the account is sent to UF, the matter will take long time to straighten up. Try to resolve the matter with Sonic and get off from their list. They are a pain to deal with.

Sharon,
Sonic is no fun. They won't garnish your wages...It's pretty tough for a company that's operating illegally to get a judgement..But they can use a wage assignment. Sonic loves those. Send a wage assignment revocation letter to Sonic and your employer immediately. Do a forum search on "wage assignment revocation letter" and you'll find plenty of examples. They are completely voluntary, and you can rescind them at any time. Sonic may try to tell you that it can't be revoked, but this is not true..Even if you sign the wage assignment in person, it can be revoked by you at any time.
