On my credit report there are two credit card accounts that have the wrong SOL listed. A collection agency owns the debt, now.

How can I find and prove the real SOL date?

Thanks.

The CR shows 30 days late as of Sept. 2004....60 days late as of Oct. 2004...90 days late as of Nov 2004.

So, the last activity would have been sometime in August 2004, according to this report...which is the begining of the 3 yr period, to 2007, for the sol to expire, in WA. Right?

However, I think the last time I paid was July 2004.

How can I prove I paid last, in July, not August, of 2004? Would a copy of the check or a bank statement be proof?

thanks.

It seems your debt is still within the SOL period and hence legal actions can be taken within the timeframe. Try to avoid any such instances. Get in touch with the original companies and work out payment plans. If they feel you are willing to pay the debt, some extensions might be offered to you.

Your bank records can prove your date of last activity. On the basis of this proof, dispute the item with the CRA. They will correct your records. Send copies while disputing the items. Don't send original copies as they are your only proof.
