Ok, we've had threads similar to this in the past, and I think it's time for another one. We have a lot of new people around, and the new people don't know us old people, and we old people don't know the new people and----Ok, I ramble..hehe

Ok..
**Step one**

I'm Jessi. I work in sales. I used to sell mattresses, but I just started a new job selling travel for Priceline. It's a job. :) I love sales though. It's what I do.

I recovered from the PDL cycle this year. I did it on my own, and it was tough. But it can be done, and I'm proof of it.

I spend way too much time on the internet.

I really like cake. And cookies. Actually, just about any food. :) But I won't eat meat with bones in it, or seafood. That's just gross. But I don't care if SOMEONE else likes to eat it. But I won't do it. :)

**Step two** Someone ask me a question, and do step number one. Then it will be someone else's turn to ask YOU a question, and so on! :)

Ok, So I made this game up...It should be interesting.

Hi Jessi!
LOL, we spend a lot of time together in chat so we know each other, but I want to play too...

Jessi, if you could go anywhere in the world and do anything..Money's not an issue..where would you go and what would you do there?

ok, step one...
Hi, I'm Michelle. I'm in HR/Personnel at a corporation you've heard of.
My passion in life is football. I collect football stuff and my trivia going back to the early 1900's college and pro is flawless. when I was 4 I could name every QB in the NFL. Obviously I love the Dolphins, especially Dan Marino..QB 1983-2000, #13, hence the 13 after my name!

I also love other sports and play a pretty mean game of raquetball. And like Jessi, I love to eat. And...I adore my husband, my 7-year-old boy, My American Bulldog Howie, and my cherry red PT Cruiser.

I am also proof that you can escape payday loan hell..Last winter I had six and now have ZERO!! I am enjoying life!

So now..someone has to ask ME a question, and do step one themselves..This is fun!!

Alrighty...my name is 'Polly'. I work in a private civil engineering firm as a CADD Technician. I live about 30 miles from Michelle in West MI. I have two kids, two dogs, and two birds. Wish there was two of me:)
I love yardwork, computers, graphic arts, drawng, solving a good mystery, cooking, eating!
I dislike intolerant, rude, prejudice, racist, hateful people. I love people who love others as they do themselves!

Hi Michelle---Who doesn't LIKE to eat? My faves are Mexican food, candy and ice cream.

Here goes---My name is Lorri and I am a second grade teacher at a private Christian school in southern California. I am a 2nd generation native Californian, have lived no where else and frankly can't imagine living anywhere but here.

I have a 24 year old daughter who is married and I live with my 77 year old mother. I have two nieces and 1 nephew who I spoil to death! I like reading, history and antiques.

I found this site on a pretty desperate day about 2 months ago and have been working to become debt free. Right now I will consider being PDL free!

So someone ask me a question and do step one.

Why do kids insist on being so childish?

Hey y'all! My name is Dana(age 26) and I live in Clayton, NC. It's bigger than "Mayberry" but we have the same feel. I'm a stay at home mom and LOVING it! I have three kids, 2 girls Cameron(age 4) & Madeline(age 2), 1 boy Thomas(age1) and 1 husband Travis(age 27). So I'm the proverbial suburban mom/housewife, so what? I don't live in "Stepford".

I love community theatre, singing southern gospel music and eating just about anything that's edible. (Is that a theme here or what?) I've been in the Pdl cycle since last September, and just today I'am completely Free! HALLELUJIA! THANK YOU JESUS! So ask me a question and do step 1.

Hi all,

My name is Andy and I work in a software firm in the nights. I am free during the day and love to browse the internet. My hobbies are eating, sleeping, and sometimes, I like to drink a lot. Couple of days back, I was watching the match of England vs. Portugal and Brazil vs. France. I was in my apartment with a bottle of Bacardi and chicken roast. I had this type of celebration after a long time, especially after working long hours in the office. Sometimes, I also love watching movies.

Andy, you forgot a step. You were suppose to ask a question.

Umm, okay, so I guess most know who I am. Mike from Michigan. I use to do a lot of insurance adjusting for a third party firm based out of Nashville. I had an on-site cubicle at the local hospital. Now I do payroll and scheduling locally.

I have a passion for wine and cheese, 30 minute meals, sleeping, and I'm a vegetarian. I also have a huge collection of vinyl. Have a kitten named Whitney, and a dog named Scruffy. And I'm still without a car, but that's probably for the better.

And I guess step 2 would be to ask Andy what kind of movies he watches?

Andy...I have an every other week-end alcohol abuse problem:) When the kids are away, mom plays!

Mikey I love wine too! Mikey how do you manage in Detroit without a car? Do you live and work downtown so you can use the people mover? I worked on a project last year modernizing 90 traffic signal intersections downtown. Alot of them are downtown by the people mover...Beaubien and Larned and such.
My old company had an office right in Greektown. I was just down in Detroit a couple of months ago. My girl lives in Mt. Clemens. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe downtown, and then headed up to Royal Oak to go to Noir Leather. I hadn't been there in years...the new store is small, but I still love their shoes!
Do you ever head over to GR?

Haha, yes vinyl records. And I've been to that Noir store. I think. They sell lots of hats too, right? I think they're right off of Woodward. And I actually live in Ann Arbor. Use to live in Detroit. Now my trips just consist of Amtrak, or going with friends. I use to live in the lofts above Nikki's pizza across from Greektown. Maybe I'm just thick headed, and took my chances walking around when I use to live in Detroit, cause I did a lot of that too. RISKS!

Yeah lmao Noir has a lot of 'hats' and other interesting and fun things!;)

I used to live in Ann Arbor. I worked at this coffee house/deli called Zingerman's. Everytime I get down there I swing in to eat! I had a friend who used to work at the Cat's Meow, and we used to drink at the Blind Pig.
Have you ever been to City Club in downtown Detroit, under the Ramada? I used to party my behind off at that club! Ahhh to be young again!!!

City Club? Oh, wow. Yeah I've been there a few times. And Zingermans is right by my mothers. So I eat there every chance I get, in the sandwich shop next door. And where is the Cat's Meow. I'm not familiar with any stores really that are out of downtown Ann Arbor (unless in Detroit, go figure). There's a place called Dogma-Catma Too. The owner of that store attacked my mom with a broom. Seriously. My mom called the police of course, and the owner escaped out the back door. Some strange people we have living in Ann Arbor.

The Cat's meow used to be up above another store, but don't make me lie to remember which one! I lived there briefly about 10 years ago.
I was disappointed with the number of silver spoon fed pseudo hippies that used to run around that town back then. I went to hash bash that year, and the spirit of sharing was non-existent, and the police were not any fun at all! LOL Do they still do hash bash?

I remember chilling out with as busker that day, and he was the coolest guy ever. He played his guitar and sang to me...made a grrl *blush*.

I so loved City Club. I would ask if it is still there, but I honestly do not have any punk or goth left in me. I am afraid if I walked in there now those kids would be like 'who is that old pta mom up in here'! lol

Hash Bash will never die. It's an Ann Arbor tradition. The cops are weird though. Just a ticket if you're caught stoking. The hippies are still around. Fleetwood diner is still around. My mom lives in the old Ann Arbor Inn, if that gives you an idea whereabouts she is downtown. Main Street is still Main Street with nothing, but shops and restaurants.

Ha, we've seem to take over this thread. Let's try to get it back to its orginal topic.

Oh and Polly, as far as sharing goes at HashBash, it's one of those 'bring your own type of deals.' I suppose if you want to risk the puff-pass scenario, then go to it. And when the speaker on stage says sit down, every one sits down real quick-like, to show that everyone else standing up is an officer. Weird, but still fun.

Here's the answer to Polly's question..

I lived in South Florida from birth until age 20..In the summer time we would come to Michigan to visit my Grandma in Oak Park ( Detroit Area). I never saw snow..Just on tv. One year we came up north for Christmas..And we got snowed in at my Grandma's house. It was absoluely amazing! I was 12..My parents and my sister and brother and I, My aunt and uncle and cousins, and my Grandma had the most beautiful Christmas..Santa Claus was generous, and my first experience with snow was pure magic. I remember thinking it ws so clean and pure. Of course, my feelings have changed a lot since then!!

It looks like i can skip the question part lol.

I have done several things in my life. At this point in time I work as a Driver / Instructor. My day job is working as an Intructor in a driving school where I teach people how to drive a truck. My night job is driving a truck. I have to work two jobs so that i can accomplish my goal of becoming debtfree asap. When i actually get some time off I like to read, goto movies, play video games, and generally veg out. I have 9 wonderful babies of the four legged variety, and a beautiful wife that sometimes "divorces" when she gets mad at me. lol Other then that there realy isn't that much about me thats interesting. except i'm going to figure out how to type better lol

Ok-Cryobear-step one-here's my question-what kind of four legged babies-cats,dogs? My story isn't too exciting.I've been a substance abuse counselor for over 15 years, currently not working, except I do alot of pro-bono work and interventions. Worked with Dept. of Corrections. Have two grown son's,one who makes all the wrong choices!Had two dogs and inherited two stray kittens, had to put my shih-tsu to sleep. My mother has heart failure,my 33 year old son is disabled and both live with me and my hubby and I take care of them. LOVE seafood, going to movies with my son, reading and the computer-sometimes too much. After finding this site,I have managed to pay off numerous small bills, working on other ones and hope within a year or less to have them all paid off. Finally got the IRS paid off, hopefully for good!! So there is my dull story!!Next!!...Karen

We still have a Red Lobster. But my hubby and I went to Eureka Springs,Arkansas, and there's a place called Autumn Breeze, and they have THE best lobsters around. Course when I was married to first husband,I lived in North Carolina, and there is no comparison to fresh seafood. That was the only thing, other than my son that was good about him  ...Karen

OK, this looks like fun.

My question is to finsfan13. Do you like any other sports, or are you just a diehard football fan?

I'm Kathleen. I'm 30-something. I've lived in California, Arizona, North Dakota, Montana, several places in Colorado, and Maryland. I've been a nurse and a teacher but now I work as a grants and contracts administrator. I live in a small town in southwestern Colorado with my husband and two kids. We love to hike and camp and travel. None of us ski, even though we live in Colorado! My kids are my life--they're just the most amazing things I've ever seen. No, I'm not biased, why do you ask?!

Hi Kathleen,
You called it..I'm a die-hard football fan, yes..But it's so much more than that. I can out-football every man I've ever known, and I know the rules inside and out..I follow teams in the off-season religiously, and if you ever have a FB question, I'm the one to come to...BUT...I love sports. I ran track and played golf and volleyball in high school, and I still run almost every day and play raquetball whenever I can!! I'm not the biggest baseball fan, but I love basketball, especially mens' college.

I play fantasy football too...my husband and I are in a league with some friends. It's not real serious, but we have lots of fun!

And that's such a hard question! Rocky Mountain National Park is lovely. I love Colorado Springs and Glenwood Springs too. But honestly, I truly think the prettiest place in Colorado is Ouray, which is near Telluride. It's called "Little Switzerland" and has lots of hot springs, access to several 14,000 foot peaks, and great hiking and camping.
