I got a message from some lady name Anna (904-685-5008) wishing me good luck...and ironically I got the same call from a guy named prince carter at united federal bank. From reading the posts in the forum, the mistake I made was sending them a fax stating the dates I would pay the debt prior to getting a debt validation, because my payday loan was for 300 and i'm repaying 700. I did get nervous when he started talking about cops coming to my job,and suckered into to sending the fax - though I did make a payment in full that day as he requested. With this lady Anna, I am going to be sure to ask for a debt validation first. Is this the right move? I want to make sure I know what to say before I call her back.

Make them validate the debt they are to collect. Make sure they have the debt and don't send a dime til you receive validation back. United Federal Bank is famous for calling people and threatening people. You need to file complaints against them.

Tommy, did you send money to the guy, Prince Carter? You must make sure that he has sent the money towards your debt account and not kept it in his pocket. This way, you will be sure that the person was authorized for this collection.

Also know the purpose why Anna is calling you. Is she from the same company where Prince Carter works? Be suspicious while dealing with the collectors. The collectors try to pocket the money if they get a small chance. Check out some of the posts on United Federal Bank here.
