If a collection agency is found to have information that is inaccurate, do they have to delete it from their system once it is resolved?

I dont want the agency making anymore mistakes or hits to my credit file that are not authorised and do not belong to me.

Yes, if a collection agency has wrong information about you, it must be removed from their system after being verified. In the meantime, if they have hit your credit file, the information must be disputed immediately and removed from the credit report.

Creditors, collection agencies or the CRAs are not allowed to report inaccurate negative information in the consumers' credit. This is in accordance with the FCRA laws prepared by the FTC
