These people purchased an account from Verizon Wireless that I already paid off. How can Verizon even sell an account that was paid off? I still havent recieved a recipt for the payment but I do have it in my bank account records. How can I clear this up? :?: Verizon says that they cant deal with the account anymore after it has been sold. Can they do that. Can they just not send me a reciept? Please help anyone.

Ask Midland to give you the debt validation of this account. The details should include all the payments done towards it and the account being paid. Besides, verizon must have this account paid off in their system before they possibly sold it out to Midland. Either of the companies are having the wrong information as you have the actual proof.
