Hi all -

this site has been very informative for me. Long story short I have gotten into a bit of a mess with 4 PDls, Arrowhead Investments, Northway (Cashtransfercenters), little loan shoppe and worldwidecash. I want to send them letters revoking automatic debits and wage garnishments. I live in California and fear I may have overpaid them also.
Does anyone have samples of what I should say?

Thanks so much!

You can't revoke a wage garnishment. You can revoke a wage assignment..Make sure you call it that in the letter. Also..I don't think that you're going to be able to stop the automatic debits...Generally when dealing with online PDLS the only way to stop that is by stop payment or totally closing your account. You can try, but I honestly don't think you'll get anywhere.

Kellyca. If you think that the loan companies have been overpaid, ask them to send you the latest statement of your loan account. You need to review it thoroughly and make sure if they are entitled to make more debits from your account. If the loan has been fully paid, explain the situation to your bank and they might help you in disputing the excessive charges with the companies. There is a chance that the loan companies will revert back the excess amount after reviewing your file in their system.

Be very careful when dealing with CTC, they are a nasty bunch. They will try to over talk you, bully you and even threaten you. Just do what I did; I told them "the call was being recorded" and that the conversation was just so funny I had to laugh. Of course they didn't find it amusing and hung up on me. But before they hung up they told me that they will call me again the next day. I simply said ok, as I was cracking up!!!!

Lol, Kenthia, I think maybe I should have had you coach me when I started taking the phone calls from the ca's...I was so nervous my hands were shaking, so I just tried to sound "stern" on the phone- it probably would have made them even madder if I had started laughing at them- I think I might have to try that! :-)
