Getting even??

I think I got even with a CA recently!!
Had a call from an unknown person, with computer generated phone number. And a second call from someone who did NOT speak English, as the caller was extremely difficult to understand.
Both calls included the statement that SOUNDED like they said that this WAS a sales call. Well....I reported the number provided, to both local and national Do Not Call lists. Indicating that the call sounded like a sales call.
Must have done something, as I haven't been called since! And if the same company has attempted to call, they certainly have not bothered to leave a message!
Last couple of messages I have gotten, were computer generated, left while my answering machine was picking up the call. All I got was "Thank You. Good Bye" Absolutely nothing else!
They can rest assured that if they call again, and leave a message, including number, they WILL be reported again!
Makes me feel good, knowing that I stymied their pathetic attempts at whatever they were attempting to do!

If it was a collections agency then you would have been called back if they were reasonably sure that they have the correct number. Reporting your number to the national DNC list doesn't absolve you from recieving calls from your creditors and their associates.

Did recieve a call the next day, again from someone who obviously didn't speak the English language! I certainly could NOT understand what was said. But gain, it sure sounded like they said that their call WAS a sales call, so I reported it as such.
Like I said, I've recieved several calls since, but the caller(s) have not had the balls to leave a message, much less a phone number. It's worked for me anyway.
Besides, this may have been a CA that's already been sent a DV letter, requesting information, that they have failed to respond to.
So, if they get hit with a 10-12 thousand dollar fine, for the apparent UNsolicited sales call...So be it. Deosn't bother me any. They bother me, they deserve what they get!!! MY opinion only. Take it for what it's worth, which ain't much! Made me feel good though.
