tks. I think people forget that the government does not have to follow the fdcpa...they have their own rules! I owe the state of mi bout 700 bucks from income tax time...i am hoping they have bigger fish to collect on and give me some time to scrape it together! *stressed*

speeding tickets, parking tickets....the police are issuing those tickets, and the money goes to the representative government. You betch you ars they will lock you up for not paying those puppies! They will issue bench warrants and if you get pulled over for any reason do not pass go do not collect 200 dollars!

Polly, you sent me shivers. I drive quite a lot and sometimes in good speed. I think it's better to pay off at the earliest without keeping it pending.

My city, the dirty b@...'s decided to start charging people to park at the meters on Saturday's. So last Saturday morning I was leaving my sort kinda boyfriend's house and I have a ticket on my truck! 10 bucks! I was livid. Why would they do that to people on a Saturday???

You know what Polly? In Holland they disable your car until you pay your parking tickets..If you don't pay speeding tickets you get your license suspended and you go to jail if you get caught driving..Then you have to pay Michigan's driver's responsibility fee, which I think is like $500, on top of the ticket, the license re-instatement fee, and the fine for going to jail. That sucks! Cheaper just to pay your tickets.
In lovely West michigan, cops are evrywhere, as you know, Polly! I got pulled over for "weaving" not too long ago. You can't even park anywhere in downtown Holland, you get ticketed after 10pm .

Those reponsibilty fees are something else. My ex had to pay over 2k of those to get his license back, and in a year he will have to pay 1k to maintain it. MI is hard up for money right now. They are not playing. Did you hear that Google is bringing 1k jobs here?

I saw that! Ann Arbor and Lansing, right? That's awesome! I didn't know you had to pay to maintain the responsibility fee..Ouch. I remember hearing commercials a few years back thet if you get a DUI they can take away your car for good. Do they really do that?

Really? I wonder where it is..Probably on lake Michigan Drive. I went to Grand valley, and when I went there was nothing on that road. Now it's all built up, and it gets you to the Zoo in no time.

There is one on Chicago Dr. in Grandville, right off 96 next to the Best Western, and there is one next to Duthler's on Michigan and Fuller NE. I love their fries!!!
