Has anyone hired Bud Hibbs? Any complaints?

I'm sorry Mr. Banner that that second grade grammar/wall of text (no punctuation) made my head hurt reading it.

My only experience with him was an email, explaining my situation, and I also told him I could not afford an Attorney and so far was unable to get one on a contingency basis. His reply, seek legal council. Yeah OK, thanks. :?

I've emailed him a couple of times, seeking clarification/explanation of some fine points of collections. Both times, I got helpful, informative a reply within 24-36 hours. This was about six months back.

I have actually spoken to him, he called me back it was in regards to CACH LLC and their supposed law firm...rannefield & associates...he told me exactly what to say to them and it worked:)

I guess there are going to be good reviews as well as bad reviews, it's seems pretty even to me so far.

I also called him last year, when I was being sued by a collector attorney for a CC, and left a message asking for help. I never received any response at all.

I didn't let the put me off about him, though. I just figured he was probably extremely busy and just didn't have the time to answer each individual inquiry personally.

So I went to my local Legal Aide office.

And once again, another CA shill is just missing the entire point of this website, it seems. We're not here badmouthing the collectors and creditors that are asking for their money. We're here badmouthing how some of them break the law when they do it and discussing how to deal with them.

Big difference.

Bud Hibbs has talked to me on the phone a couple of times. He has been quite helpful.

It isn't a problem of NOT paying bills, but I agree with the consensus, that the collection agencies harrass and harrang you over debts that are way way old.
Further, as if interest rates aren't high enough on credit cards as it is, CAs will
typically add on more.

Everyone has fiancial problems at one time or another.
(Whether it is a medical situation, death in family, divorce, job situation).

It seems to me that there is NO MIDDLE CLASS
in the USA any longer. You're either dirt poor or richer than all get out.

Those who are in the category of what used to be Middle Class are the ones that are
harrassed and sued. Also, typically, if they can't pay for whatever reason, they're the ones paying the highest interest rate, and the highest finace charges.

i have hire bud and he has been a great help wih me and my credit problems afer a divorce

in 2003 i had to walk away from a staggering load of credit card bills. about a year later, i was sued by one of them. at that point i contacted and visited Bud Hibbs. I signed up for his help (at about 5% of my debt), and he helped me by dealing with the collectors. when you consider that a debt collector pays roughly 3-9% of the original debt, but then demands the full amount, harasses you at work, at home, with neighbors, with fellow office workers (by calling them and implying that you are a deadbeat), well, i am glad to put the screw back to the debt collectors. it has been 5 yrs and i am completely out of the woods - in texas it is beyond the 4 year statue of limitations on debt collection for me. the credit card companies took a chance, and because they got greedy by charging 18%, 20%, 25% even 29% interest, now that someone does not pay, well, this is justice to them.

Bud is a Godsend! I have not only used the information on his website but I've emailed him with specific questions and he has always responds promptly. He was able to refer me to an organization that could pair me up with an attorney that deals with consumer protection. I sued an out of control collection agency and WON! If it weren't for Mr. Hibbs, I'm not sure I would have known exactly what steps to take. Thank you Mr. Hibbs!

Every one of you that thinks Budd Hibbs is real take a closer look. First you see him Bash every company out there. Its not just one or two bad companies out there. He plays on peoples emotions and financial distress to make money. He cant even use his real name. I use to be a debt collector and have seen both sides of it. lets take a look at a few things:
1. he does not use his real name
2. have you ever seen a coment that any agency is a good one, probably not.
3. has he ever shown that he has good credit, no, that is because he doesnt, he has defaulted on almost everything he ever had.
4. Budd Hibbs reside in a state that he can not be touched, hence the wonderful state of Texas.
5. Budd Hibbs use to be a collector and actually in uper management of collection agencies untill he had a fall out and now is trying to vindicate himself by trashing others.
6. where did this bill come from, honestly people, do you think people just give things out for free.
7. does it make you feel proud that you are cheating the system and raising everyone else out there that works hard to pay their bill debt load. because every time that one person defaults it raises the interest rates of everyone else's.
8. so the interest that you are complaining about and it is so high is generated by the actions of people like Budd Hibbs, instigating people to not pay their bills.

so in conclusion, yes, people get into financial trouble and yes, there will always be collections, arbitration, negotiation, debt. this is something that is inevitable, but do you really want to take advise from someone that only knows how to put down industry, because i could introduce you to many many people that I have personally helped out of their situations and I am the largest capitalistic mind you will ever find.

Ok people, is this Bud guy just in Texas, who can I use in California?? I need a California Bud, can anybody help? I look at some of these post and what a joke, I am mid 40's have been in business since mid 20's, have not done bad for myself, always held a credit score of 720-740 give or take depending on dept to ratio. I have ran into some rough times with the economy, not blaming anybody but myself, but if there is a Bud man that can help me in Cali, I would screw these CA or OH in a second. I am not getting any younger and this is a great time to get rid of dept ????~

The website says its for entertainment purposes only. I dont think someone that has bad things to say about every collection agency out there is good way to judge the industry in general. I know some agencies dont do the right things, but I think its more impossible that all of them are doing the wrong things. It also looks alot like angry former employees are providing most of the information. I dont think that is a reliable source to go off of either.

you are entitled to that opinion,but until it comes to light that he is wrong about a certain CA.then i at least will use him to gather information on the bottonfeeding CA'S.he is an ally of ours in the battle against them.

His list has about 300 listed, about a half of one percent, so he does not have bad things to say about every agency. Your agency is probably on his list.

I followed Budd Hibbs advice and got sued...now I am trying to find a lawyer to sue Budd for his CRAZY WEBSITE!!!!

Budd Hibbs is anti-collection agencies and pro-attorneys. Simple as that.

Bud Hibbs is a real person. he is based out of Ft Worth Texas. I went and talked to him "in person" and he has helped me with so much.
So yes he is worth it!!!! and is a real person

Bud's credentials speak for themselves. He is there for the consumer. Anyone posting negative comments about him on this forum are just wasting time. Your complaints will fall on deaf ears. If you work for one of the companies listed on his site, you deserve to be put against the wall and shot. If you got sued and are blaming Bud for your problems, then you probably didn't follow his advise and deserve what you got. That being said, I'm locking this thread. We will not tolerate your stupidity on this forum.
