What to expect

When I defaulted on ameriloan and United Cash Loan I immdiatley contacted them for address information so my credit counselor could send the proposal...They are accepting my payments and after I made calls to them they never contacted me. I closed my account and they tried to make a paper check and send it through...they had some kind of statement on their that signature was not required..
My loan with Ameriloan was for 400 plus 120 fees and they made a check for 640.
My loan with United Cash was for 300 plus 90 fees and they made a check for 480.

You need to pay if you have a loan with them. Make sure that the total amount is according to the laws fixed in your state.

It will be a good sign if you can contact the companies individually and propose your payment plans. If you can put your proposals before they call you, they will show their softer side and will be willing to work with you. You can also get some benefits while you will be making the payments.

Now that is funny. I hope the bank returned those checks. The only one I have dealt with is ICS. Give them a call, they were willing to make arrangements with me.

OH, yeah the account had been closed so they just returned the checks. I've never even heard of that before, I didn't know places were that bold.

Pink Lady and bdouble, thank you very much for your help, you don't know how much I appreciate it. Anthony, no offense, but I don't need a lecture from you about paying my loans. Obviously I, as well as everybody else here, know we need to pay our bills. There is no need to be condesending about it.

Lately we've had some people coming here trying to think of ways to NOT pay back what they legally owe. No offense to you, it's just something that's got a lot of us members annoyed. And we don't mean to snap. :) Not to say you would take advantage of the tools we've provided here, but we've had some that do.

No problem Anthony. I took your post as accusing me of trying to duck my responsibilities and I was offended by that. I got myself in a bad situation out of stupidity, no argument there, but I'm trying to make things right. I've got to make sure my family has a place to live and we have a way to get to work before I pay off these loans.

Art, I never had the intentions to accuse and show your irresponsibility. I know how it feels when there is a huge debt at one end and a family to support at the other side. Family is the biggest priority before anything and the debt problems make life all difficult. I was thinking of avoiding those situations when the lenders will make harassing calls and spoil things even before they are put under control. You are trying to make things right and that counts the most. I will extend any type of help and advice if you feel comfortable with me.

Unfortunately we don't have the luxury here of face to face meetings, so sometimes good intentions can be misconstrued...
I've gotten myself in trouble a few times myself! lol..but not very often! (roflmao)

Sometimes it's really tough when you're cyber talking...I know I tend to be a bit sarcastic at times, and since you can't hear my tone of voice I always tone it down.
I have that problem at work, I have to email some big wigs at times, I'm terrified I might sound snotty
