they got your information because you are applying for new loans. you should take care of your defaulted loans before applying for new ones. same thing happened to me with dms marketing.
True, the information can be pulled while you were applying for
True, the information can be pulled while you were applying for credit. But the company must have your authorization before doing some debits in your checking account. It is illegal to do any transaction in the bank account without your authorization. Ask your bank to dispute the debit with the company. If they are unable to give you the verification, the amount must be reverted back to your account. Geneva Roth has numerous complaints about such illegal activities. A few discussions about them have taken place in this forum. Did you read this thread?

That's the thing Guns and Roses. I used that argument with DMS Marketing and they faxed me the agreement I signed. They also faxed a copy to my bank and my bank would not let me revoke authorization. It did clearly state that by signing, I was giving them authorization to debit my current account as well as any future accounts that I may have. It even mentioned something about receiving bank account information from "affiliates" for this purpose. I can't believe I didn't read that (or really think about what it meant) when I signed up for the loan in the first place.
